Acute Launches Immersive Video Streaming Platform and Production Application for Apple Vision Pro

Acute, a San Francisco-based startup, has announced the launch of its platform built to help immersive video producers and distributors host, encode, and stream 180/360° content at scale. Available as a SaaS solution, Acute allows rights holders to deliver Immersive videos through white label applications for Apple Vision Pro and other XR devices, as well as helping at the production stage with a suite of dedicated professional apps.

A Full-Stack Solution for Immersive Video Distribution

Acute’s platform is designed to meet the evolving needs of immersive content creators—studios, distributors, and media brands—by providing a turnkey backend infrastructure for managing and delivering high-quality VR video. Customers can use Acute’s white label streaming apps with minimal customization, or connect their own front-end applications via Acute’s public API.

Key features available today already include:

  • Hosting – Scalable cloud infrastructure optimized for immersive formats
  • Encoding – Automatic conversion to ensure compatibility with Apple Vision Pro
  • Streaming – Smooth, secure delivery for public and private audiences
  • Private Sharing – Share unlisted content with internal teams or partners
  • Commenting – Add and sync timecoded feedback across collaborators

Use Cases: From Content Review to End-user Distribution

Acute supports a wide range of workflows across creative and enterprise sectors:

  • Post-production collaboration for immersive video teams
  • Entertainment streaming, including movies, music and sports events
  • Enterprise training, internal communications, and conferences
  • Specialized applications in real estate, healthcare, education, and cultural experiences

Acute Pro: A Native App for Apple Vision Pro

Alongside its web platform, Acute has launched Acute Pro, a native application available on the Apple Vision Pro App Store. Acute Pro is built for immersive video professionals to streamline production and post-production workflows. Teams can privately share footage and edits, review immersive content directly in-headset with no downloads, and leave timecoded comments synchronized across collaborators – making review sessions faster, easier, and more efficient.

Built for Apple Vision Pro—And Ready to Scale

With full support for Apple Vision Pro and a roadmap to expand across the XR ecosystem, Acute is laying the technical foundation for the next generation of immersive content delivery – balancing creative control with scalability and security in a single platform.

Leadership & Vision

Acute was founded by Anthony Maes, a French engineer who helped build Tesla’s Autopilot and later led development teams at Niantic, creators of Pokémon Go. He partnered with Paul Mezier, an immersive producer who has collaborated with Apple, Meta, and Google on VR/AR projects.

Anthony Maes, CEO of Acute, said: “The single largest opportunity in XR in the next 10 years is going to be entertainment, not productivity, not even gaming. It might sound like a bold prediction, but it’s already evident to Vision Pro users and film professionals dipping their toes into immersive production.

Paul Mezier, COO of Acute, added: “Producers and creatives who are looking to make shows for headsets today lack the fundamental tools that they have been accustomed to working with flat, traditional formats. Acute is the first platform aiming at making their lives easier, and we can’t wait to see what they create with the tools we are making.
