Alongside this visual leap, new features elevated the rollercoaster simulation experience to new heights. Within a week of its 2004 debut, the game became Amazon.com’s best-selling PC title and ended the year as one of The NPD Group’s top 10 best-sellers. Packed with content, including expansion packs, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 invites players to design the ultimate theme park and relive the critically acclaimed classic that defined a generation of simulation games.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 introduced several new gameplay features to the series, including the CoasterCam, which allows players to “ride” roller coasters and other attractions, and the MixMaster, which allows the player to coordinate firework shows and time them to in-game music. Another park innovation appreciated by franchise fans is the guests (called “peeps”) who arrive in groups and show variation in gender and age — including children, teenagers, and adults.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 is available now on PlayStation 5Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S for $29.99 USD. It is also available for purchase on Windows PC and Mac via Steam, the Epic Games StoreGOG, and the Nintendo Switch
