New iSimple® TranzIt™ PORT Lets Users Connect a Smartphone, Tablet or Other USB Device to Any Car Stereo

IS3401Las Vegas, NV (January 6, 2014) – On opening day of the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show, iSimple® (www.isimplesolutions.com) dazzled visitors (Booth 2808, LVCC North Hall) with the introduction of the TranzIt™ PORT (IS3401), the latest addition to its bestselling line of TranzIt universal car kits. Created as an affordable alternative to factory-installed USB charging ports, the TranzIt PORT lets consumers connect a variety of devices – from smartphones and tablets to MP3 players and USB memory sticks– to virtually any factory or aftermarket car stereo for playback of music or other digital content. When it becomes available in Q1-2014, the TranzIt PORT will carry a MSRP of $119.95. For a detailed overview of the TranzIt PORT, please visit www.isimplesolutions.com/tranzitport/.

The TranzIt PORT is based on technology similar to other TranzIt kits from iSimple – including a universal in-line stereo signal modulator – but this new version includes several upgrades that allow it to connect today’s most popular digital devices to a car stereo. The TranzIt PORT boasts a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) for digital-only audio devices (ex: the latest Android devices, as well as iPod, iPhone and iPad); support for microUSB, 30-pin and Lightning connected devices, and 2.4 -amp charging with overcharge protection circuits.

While the TranzIt PORT can be installed in about half hour by an experienced do-it-yourselfer, iSimple recommends professional installation for best performance. Once installed, it is extremely straightforward to use: first, the consumer plugs the connecting cable into the dashboard-mounted USB port or plugs in the USB memory stick; next they tune the radio to a pre-set “TranzIt frequency,” and finally they simply press play on their music player of choice, or starts-up an Internet radio service like iHeartRadio or Pandora. The TranzIt PORT stereo signal modulator will immediately begin streaming audio directly into the car’s audio system while simultaneously keeping the connected device’s battery charged.
