Tackle The Great Outdoors With Casio’s Latest PRO TREK Timepieces

DOVER, N.J.Sept. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — This fall, Casio America, Inc. expands its rugged and versatile PRO TREK line of outdoor timepieces with the PRG650Y-1 and PRG650YBE-3. Both timepieces feature Casio’s Triple Sensor Version 3 Technology, Tough Solar Power, and more, making these models essential tools for outdoor adventures big and small.

“Our PRO TREK collection is incredibly versatile and each model offers features that are ideal for making the most of the outdoors this fall season and beyond,” said David Johnson, vice president of Casio’s Timepiece Division. “Enthusiasts can trust that the innovative PRG650Y-1 and PRG650YBE-3 are excellent timepieces to help them make the most of their outdoor activities.”

The PRG650Y-1 and PRG650YBE-3 feature Casio’s Triple Sensor Version 3 Technology which includes a magnetic sensor for compass readings, pressure sensor for altitude/barometric readings and a thermo sensor for temperature. Both models are water resistant up to 100 meters and offer a stopwatch, five daily alarms, world time, countdown timer, and more.

Designed with an analog-digital display, and double LED light (neon illuminator, full auto LED light for the analog and full auto LED backlight for the digital), both models offer exceptional viewability in the dark. Additionally, the PRG650Y-1 features a luminescent on the underside of its black silicone band and offers a black dial with white accents; while the PRG650YBE-3 offers a black dial with white rectangular accents and a unique tool-free, interchangeable camouflage cloth band.

The new models also feature Casio’s Tough Solar Power, which consists of a solar panel system that converts light to electricity and eliminates the need for battery changes. Both timepieces can even be charged in low or fluorescent light. After a full-charge and without further exposure to light, the timepieces have a battery life of approximately seven months. A special power save feature conserves energy by enabling the timepieces to power down when not exposed to light, which if stored in total darkness with power save on after a full charge, could extend the battery life to nearly two years.

Casio’s PRO TREK PRG650Y-1 (MSRP: $320) and PRG650YBE-3 (MSRP: $340) will be available nationwide in October at select jewelry and watch retailers, as well as ShopCasio.com. For additional information on Casio’s PRO TREK collection of timepieces, please visit www.PROTREK.Casio.com
