Draper’s Redesigned FlexShade® ZIP™ is Bigger, Easier to Install

(Spiceland, Ind.) –– Whenever Mother Nature throws high winds at your windows, Draper’s redesigned exterior FlexShade® ZIP™ system will be there, holding its own in even larger sizes.

With the addition of XL sizes, the ZIP can now be up to 25’ wide in a single headbox.

The redesigned FlexShade ZIP is easier to install thanks to a single pin lock on the idler that allows easier removal and installation of the roller in the brackets. There are also more mounting options. The ZIP headbox can be supported by the side channels or mounting brackets, depending on the style of headbox used.

In addition, the headbox, side channel, and hem bar all have liner options to accommodate site aesthetics.

The FlexShade ZIP is similar to a standard roller shade but incorporates a ‘zipper’ detail that is welded to the two vertical sides of the fabric panel. The “zip” edges of the fabric panel run inside inner channels in the side guide extrusions, which have cushioning pads to dampen the movement of the fabric panel under wind load. This “zip” detail stops the fabric from being pulled out of the side guide and makes it very wind resistant.

To see the FlexShade ZIP in person, stop by booth 815 at Greenbuild, November 8-10 in Boston. More information is available online at draperinc.com/go/FlexShadeZip.htm.
