LOS ANGELES, Nov. 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — To kick off the holiday season, Epson announced today the launch of its consumer rebate program, offering a $100 discount for those purchasing its award-winning Epson® Moverio® BT-300FPV Smart Glasses (FPV/Drone Edition). The promotion is available now and will be applied instantly at point-of-sale (POS) through the end of December.1

The Epson Moverio BT-300 (FPV/Drone Edition) smart glasses were recently named a CES® 2018 Innovation Award Honoree in the Robotics and Drones category for its AR app for DJI drones. This marks the second time the Epson Moverio platform has received a CES Innovation Award, the official industry recognition for the most innovative products introduced at the annual consumer technology show known as CES.

Epson’s Moverio BT-300 Drone Edition smart glasses are revolutionizing the way drone enthusiasts experience their aircraft by allowing them to view their drone camera feed while simultaneously maintaining line of sight with their aircraft. Currently, drone photographers must peer down at a smartphone or tablet to view the drone camera feed. This is often difficult in bright sunlight and unsafely takes the user’s eyes off the craft. The Moverio Drone Edition’s first-person view (FPV) transparent ‘screen’ enable pilots to view the drone camera feed while keeping the craft in their line of sight, providing a safer, more productive way to fly.

“When I received the Epson Moverio BT-300, it completely changed drone flying for me,” said Carlos Arrieta, award-winning videographer, Roar Post. “I’m not only able to see the video imagery I’m capturing, but I can also see all the specifics of the drone altitude, battery life, GPS location, maps and makes flying a drone a lot easier.”

The award-winning Epson Moverio BT-300FPV Drone Edition smart glasses has a suggested retail price of $799 and are available at Epson’s own retail site, www.epson.com as well as major e-commerce sites, including Best Buy.com, Staples.com and Amazon; major photography stores such as B&H Video and Adorama Camera; and local DJI authorized retailers, including:

“Our retail channel – both in-store and online – continues to expand, just in time for the holiday season,” said Eric Mizufuka, manager, New Ventures, Epson America. “The Epson Moverio BT-300FPV smart glasses is ultra-light, comfortable and packed with a ton of features that deliver the perfect solution for next-generation flight experiences. The $100 discount rebate increases its value even more, making it a deal that drone enthusiasts simply can’t resist.”
