LAS VEGASJan. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — To revolutionize the kitchen and bath industry, Delta Faucet Company has developed a skill for Alexa that allows consumers to control faucets using only their voices. Voice Activation Technology links two proven platforms — Amazon Alexa and Delta® Touch2O®Technology faucets — into a next-generation solution.

Thanks to its well-considered design, Voice Activation Technology is ideal for today’s active home. Voice instructions for Alexa, which include turning water on and off, measuring water quantity and even warming water, allow users to continue working while seamlessly and accurately controlling water via WiFi connection.

“Today’s world is more connected than ever before; that drives a need for products that deliver convenience and connectivity,” said Mike Sale, Sr. Product Manager, Delta Faucet Company. “From the minds who created the innovative Touch2O® Technology and H2OKinetic® shower technology, we are excited for Voice Activation Technology to represent the evolution of hands-free technology, and how Delta Faucet Company can exceed consumer expectations in the kitchen.”

Connected via WiFi and enabled for Amazon Alexa, voice control offers easy accessibility and intuitive design. The skill also boasts the ability to customize commands enabled by the user, allowing seamless integration with the faucet for everyday interactions with water.

The technology was developed by an innovative division within Delta Faucet Company whose sole purpose is to ideate and unveil revolutionary new products. In the coming months, the 60-plus-year-old organization will be revealing more about this previously-secret division.
