AUBURN HILLS, Mich.Jan. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — To address cyber security, one of the largest hurdles in autonomous vehicle development, FEV North America, Inc. (FEV) has developed a test system to provide flexible, end-to-end security test coverage. The FEV AutoSEC ITUS system will be demonstrated during the 2018 CES in FEV’s Hospitality Suite at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas.

The Cyber Security Test System for Smart Vehicles can test a variety of automotive protocols, features and applications, including in-vehicle networks-to-components, wireless-to-wired interfaces, internal-to-external networks, user-to-OEM applications, and telematics-to-ADAS / AD controls.

Interfaces include:

  • WiFi, Bluetooth
  • USB, Ethernet
  • USB-to-Ethernet
  • CAN, CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet
  • Debug ports, JTAG
  • User applications
  • Software defined radio

The FEV Cyber Security Test System provides distinct advantages during the development process by allowing recursive vulnerability assessment of automotive interfaces and flexibility and scalability for the test engineer to design, develop and configure advanced security penetration tests and tools. It offers best-in-class cyber security tools that are integrated and pre-configured in the system, along with custom and FEV-recommended automotive cyber security test cases.
