Every serious golfer should eventually invest in a gas-powered golf cart to make it easier to get around the course quickly without having to spend so much time and energy walking. However, not all carts are built the same and if you’re the type of golfer who just has to have the best of the best, then you’ll probably be searching for a newer model. Unfortunately, older golf carts simply can’t match the fuel efficiency, comfort, and overall features of the latest and greatest options on the market, which is why we’ve compiled the following list of the top 4 golf carts of 2018 to aid in your comparison:

1.     Yamaha Adventurer Super Hauler

Although this cart only cranks out a little more than 11 horsepower, making it slightly weaker than other utility carts, the durability, maneuverability, and comfort make it a worthwhile consideration. It has a maximum speed of 15 mph and a turning radius of 13.5 feet, with enough storage space to accommodate all of the gear you’d find mentioned on golf gear blogs like Wheres My Caddie.

2.     E-Z-Go S4

This small but efficient cart seats up to 4 passengers and has a storage area with a weight capacity of 250 pounds. It has slightly more power than most mid-sized carts, pushing out 13.5 horsepower and travelling up to 17 mph. It also has a built-in cooling system, pedal ignition system, and is available in a variety of colors – red, blue, black, green, and yellow.

3.     E-Z-Go L6

As the name implies, this cart can seat up to 6 passengers comfortably, making it slightly more spacious than the typical mid-sized cart. It’s pretty average in the speed department, with a top speed of 16 mph and a very common HP of 13.5. It’s aesthetically appealing with a two-toned color scheme, adjustable window shield, and a somewhat minimal frame that’s constructed of welded steel for maximum durability.

4.     Club Car Carryall 295

Last but certainly not least, the Carryall 295 from Club Car is a mammoth cart that still manages to pack a decent amount of speed into its bulky frame. With two extra wide rows of seating, this golf cart can accommodate up to 9 passengers and is much faster than other carts in its class with a top speed of 25 mph and a relatively impressive 23 horsepower, making it about twice as powerful as most other utility carts. Although it may be overkill for most golfers, if you’re looking for the biggest, fastest, and most spacious cart, this would definitely be an option to put at the top of your list.

Which One is Right for You?

While conducting your comparison, you’ll want to be realistic about how you’ll be using the cart. If you typically only golf by yourself or with a few other people, a simple 4-passenger mid-sized cart would be sufficient. On the other hand, if you think you might go golfing with larger groups in the future, a 6 or 9 passenger cart would probably be more ideal to have just for those special occasions.
