devcom presents Women In Games networking event for the first time

Cologne, August 13th 2018 – True to gamescom’s motto ‘diversity wins’, the organizers of the international developers conference devcom continue their work to champion diversity within the gaming industry. With Women in Games, devcom offers a forum to women who are already part of the gaming industry or who would like to gain a foothold within the industry for the first time. 

The networking event takes place on Monday from 3:00 to 4:30 PM and offers guests from all fields the chance to get to know new people, to exchange information and to find out about new trends in the gaming industry. Furthermore, there will be a mentoring program with spontaneous sessions, where female industry veterans will answer questions about career planning, CVs and resumes. The event is open to everybody who is interested.

Devcom takes place on August 19th and 20th prior to gamescom.

Additionally a completely new event will take place at devcom for the first time this year: devcom HR on August 20th, organized jointly with MeetToMatch. Devcom HR is a recruitment event at which company representatives actively meet job applicants in order to talk about career opportunities, jobs and possibilities. Interested companies can book a booth and meet candidates for 20-minute one-on-one interviews on Monday from 4:00 to 6:00PM via an adapted version of the MeetToMatch tool.

People who have already arrived for gamescom and would like to take part in devcom HRwill be able to access devcom from 4:00 PM.

The MeetToMatch software has been adapted for this event in order to fulfil the specific needs and aims of the gaming industry.
