Kenu Launches Fast-Wireless Charging Car Mounts for Smartphones

SAN FRANCISCO, California – Sept. 6, 2018 – Kenu, the premium travel accessory brand for smartphones, today announces their entry into the wireless power category with their patent pending, fast-wireless charging car mounts, Airframe Wireless and Airbase Wireless. Both mounts are Qi-certified and deliver up to 10W of power to compatible smartphones.

Designed for daily commuters, riding sharing drivers, and road trippers, Airframe Wireless and Airbase Wireless allows drivers to simply attach and power up their phones without plugging in a charging cable. Both products work with all the latest Qi-enabled smartphones including the iPhone® X, 8 plus, and 8, and the Samsung® Galaxy S9 series.  They also charge through phone cases up to 3mm thick.

Airframe Wireless attaches to the car’s air vent via a secure push-button vent clip, while Airbase Wireless mounts to dashboards and windshields using a strong and secure suction cup that features a non-residue gel adhesive. Both products feature spring-loaded phone grips that expand to hold phones and cases up to 4.3 inches (110mm) wide. They also feature a 360º Ball Joint, so drivers can rotate their phone from portrait to landscape mode, while angling the screen for a perfect view which is also great for Face ID.

Safety features include Overheat Protection, which shuts off power if it gets too hot inside the car, Fan-Less Ventilation to keep components cool and efficient, and Foreign Object Detection to alert users when objects are blocking the charging pad.

Included in the box are a 3.9 ft (1.2m) Type-C to Type-A USB cable, and a powerful 12V DC car charger that features a Quick Charge 3.0 USB port and an extra 2.4A USB port to charge a passenger’s phone or other in-car devices.
