Cambridge, MA (September 5, 2018) – Waylens, Inc. announced today that is has partnered with Best Buy to bring the Secure360 line to market this fall. Best Buy currently offers the Waylens Horizon and Secure360 Wi-Fi on their website and will roll out both versions of the Secure360 to their stores this fall. “Best Buy has done a great job in showcasing leading technology for the home and is doing the same for the automotive category. We’re excited to be part of their automotive initiatives,” said Tim Coomer, Waylens’ President.
The availability of the much-anticipated Secure360 4G dash camera that captures everything going on in and around the car, even when parked, is here. The first and only consumer automotive camera to utilize 360-degree imaging technology, the Secure360 connects to the Waylens Secure App, putting in the palms of drivers’ hands the power to know, show and protect what’s important in real-time from any location.
KNOW what’s happening in and around the car: now via live smartphone alerts.
SHOW evidence of accidents, theft and other events: now uploaded automatically to the cloud.
PROTECT drivers from threats and misinformation: now with real-time information.
The first-place winner of SEMA’s 2017 Best New Mobile Electronics Product Award and recipient of a SEMA Global Media Award and a CE Week Best in Show Award, the Secure360 captured the imaginations of the Kickstarter and Indiegogo crowdfunding communities seeking the most innovative products. The Secure360 is a total car security solution that blends multiple sensing technologies to see trouble, anticipate risks, and capture events when the driver is in the car or away from it for an extended time.
“With all the threats drivers face today, car owners need at least as much protection as homeowners do,” said Waylens CEO Haowei Zhang. “The Secure360 is the only consumer dash cam that provides true 360-degree vision. While the limited view and coverage of other cameras fall short, the Secure360 provides full 360-degree video evidence in all driving and parked situations.”
How the Secure360 4G works:
Step 1: Go for a drive
While driving, the 360-degree lens captures everything
Step 2: Park without worry
When parked, low power sensors monitor for unusual events
Step 3: Stay informed
If a security event is detected, the Secure360 sends the user an alert while storing evidence on the onboard microSD card and automatically uploading it to the cloud for safekeeping
- Witness Everything: 360-degree lens captures everything inside and out
The patent-pending 360-degree lens of the Secure360 simultaneously captures all 360-degrees of activity inside and outside the car. Whether a fender bender in a parking lot or a collision during a commute, the Secure360’s interior and exterior views eliminate confusion about what occurred.
- Always Available: Low power sensors watch for unusual events
The Secure360 packs amazing technology into a beautiful design, relying on radar, a 3-axis accelerometer and GPS to detect unusual events even when the car is turned off for an extended time. Low-power sensors allow the Secure360 to actively scan the perimeter to protect an unattended vehicle for an unprecedented 360 hours or 15 days.
- Constantly Connected: 4G bandwidth streams to the cloud
The innovative Secure360 4G camera and simple-to-use Secure360 app work seamlessly together to provide a complete security experience. Automatic uploading of event data to the cloud keeps event evidence secure even if the camera is stolen or disabled. High-speed 4G bandwidth delivers real-time live alerts and live streaming information power.
“Whether commuters, rideshare drivers, car enthusiasts, or parents of young drivers, all car owners need protection from financial loss and unfair litigation,” explained Waylens’ President Tim Coomer. “The Secure360 protects your vehicle investment, yourself and your loved ones at a price every driver can afford.”
