Cambridge, Mass.– October 18, 2018 Users of Embr Wave, the first personal thermostat, are discovering a new way to find relief from menopause. The Embr Wave cools or heats by applying cutting-edge technology to temperature sensitive skin, and many early users are using the product to manage hot flashes and other temperature-related discomforts of menopause.

Menopause can leave millions of women feeling powerless about hot flashes. And while tech companies have largely ignored this problem, Embr Wave tackles the situation with an innovative approach. The bracelet was created by MIT scientists for people, especially moms, who want more control over their thermal comfort. Embr Wave precisely cools or warms the temperature-sensitive skin on your wrist, triggering your body’s comfort response to help you feel five degrees cooler or warmer within minutes. It immediately recreates the comforting warmth of hands by the fire or the refreshing chill of an ice cube on your wrist. As the device is specific to who is wearing it, a woman experiencing a hot flash can feel immediately relief within moments.

The reviews of the Embr Wave feature numerous women who have used the bracelet to manage hot flashes. In one example, Sherri Orlofsky, age 55, says, “If I’m wearing it and I hit cool, it’s like it stops [a hot flash] in its tracks. I no longer feel like I’m suffering. I no longer feel like I have no control.” More testimonials and reviews can be found at https://embrlabs.com/reviews/.

Embr Wave’s hugely successful Kickstarter campaign raised over $600,000, and attracted corporate investors, including Bose Ventures and Intel Capital. The Embr Wave costs $299, and can be purchased directly from embrlabs.com.
