NEW YORKOct. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Nanit, developers of the first smart baby monitor to combine research-based sleep science with the most advanced and secure camera ever introduced into the home, announced today its newest sleep solution for parents – Nanit Plus – the most sophisticated, all-in-one HD smart baby monitor to hit the connected nursery market. The company also announced expanded distribution, with the launch of the Nanit Plus into Best Buy retail stores nationwide and online at bestbuy.com.

Founded by a tight-knit team of scientists, parents, engineers and designers, Nanit’s mission is to use technology, science and data to create innovative products that are safer and smarter, for parents and babies everywhere. Since launching in 2016, Nanit has tracked over 5 million hours of sleep, 1 million parental visits, and over 750,000 morning wakeups. As a result, 94% of Nanit customers state that they have benefited from more sleep, since using the Nanit sleep system.

“We believe the connected nursery should naturally improve parents’ lives by enabling them to make better, more informed decisions. The Nanit Plus adds a suite of exciting new features, which when combined with the straightforward advantages of a wifi-based camera, give parents the flexibility and insight they’ve never had before,” said Nanit co-founder & CEO Dr. Assaf Glazer. “We are thrilled to introduce the Nanit Plus, and add Best Buy as a new national retail partner, as it expands our ability to offer our product to as many families as possible.”

Building on the award-winning design of the original Nanit Smart Baby Monitor and in response to parent feedback, the Nanit Plus features new enhancements including:

  • Two-way audio. Speak or sing to your little one, right through your Nanit app.
  • Nature sounds and white noise. Ensure your baby’s comfort and help them get to sleep, with the soothing sounds of nature (releasing shortly after launch)
  • Improved Connectivity. An upgraded chipset and antenna for the fastest pairing and highest-quality connections.
  • Create Your Baby Team. Expand the parenting team to include additional users, but control the permission settings to your comfort levels.

The Nanit Plus smart baby monitor with wall mount ($279) or a freestanding floor stand ($349) will be available on October 15th on nanit.com, Amazon.com, all buybuy BABY stores and select Best Buy stores throughout the U.S.

Every Nanit camera comes with a free 30-day trial of Nanit Insights. After the trial, Insights can be purchased starting at $10 per month for 30 days of sleep tracking, analysis and video history. The new user permissions feature is also available to existing Nanit customers by updating the app.
