MINNEAPOLIS (October 18, 2018) – Polaris Slingshot, a three-wheeled roadster which delivers a joyride and a customization platform unlike anything on the road, today announced its attendance at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas. In its SEMA debut, Slingshot® will showcase its 2019 lineup and host attendees with its one-of-a-kind “Joyride” ride-along experience in the Westgate Lot (Booth #80050).

Throughout SEMA, October 30-November 2, show-goers can ride passenger as a professional driver demonstrates the Slingshot’s fun driving capabilities by whirling around multiple tight corners within a custom-built, 18,000-square-foot course. Attendees will experience the unmatched fun of riding “shotgun” in the three-wheeled, five-speed, 173-horsepower Slingshot roadster.

“We are excited to be debuting our Slingshot experience for the first time at SEMA this year,” said Josh Fulkerson, Slingshot Sr. Director. “It’s a great opportunity for attendees to see the one-of-a-kind roadster and enjoy all the fun the Slingshot has to offer.”

The Slingshot’s unique styling and design lends itself to a truly one-of-a-kind customization platform. Slingshot owners have endless accessory and upgrade options, whether selecting from the Slingshot accessory lineup of more than 150 parts and accessories, or from one of the numerous Slingshot aftermarket providers.

“It’s rare to find a Slingshot on the road today that hasn’t had some level of customization,” said Fulkerson. “In fact, renowned builders and teams such as Alex Vega from The Auto Firm and West Coast Customs have extensive experience working on Slingshots and have done so for numerous celebrities, including Shaquille O’Neal, Luis Fonsi, Teyana Taylor and more.”

Several current Slingshot models already offer a variety of upgrades from some of the most established names in the industry. The Slingshot SL, SLR and Grand Touring come stock with a 100-watt Rockford Fosgate® audio system. The SLR also features Sparco® components, including the steering wheel, shift knob and pedal covers. Additionally, owners can customize their ride with 10-way adjustable BILSTEIN shocks.

Slingshot’s new 2019 lineup features four models, starting with the entry-level S model priced under $20,000. The Slingshot S is popular for those looking to personalize and customize their ride. The lineup continues with the SL, SLR and Grand Touring with pricing up to $29,499. Each Slingshot model packs a GM® Ecotec® 2.4L DOHC four-cylinder engine and delivers 173 horsepower by way of a five-speed manual transmission. 2019 Slingshot vehicles will be featured at the Slingshot booth at the Performance Pavillon & Bronze Lot (Booth #53012).

The revolutionary, open-air cockpit Slingshot is all fun and unlike anything on the road. Classified as an “Autocycle” in the state of Nevada, and in 43 other states, drivers can get behind the wheel with only a standard state driver’s license. However, for the SEMA Joyride experience, attendees can leave the driving to the professionals, who will have each passenger grinning from ear-to-ear.
