Unique Design & Unparalleled Performance Set the SR314 Apart

(Milford, NH – January 13, 2020)  Earthworks has been announced as a nominee for the 35th Annual NAMM Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Awards in the category of Outstanding Technical Achievement (Microphones – Sound Reinforcement). Presented by The NAMM Foundation, The NAMM TEC Awards are the Awards are widely recognized as the highest honor dedicated to the pro audio and sound recording industry.

Enveloped in a precision machined stainless steel exoskeleton is a studio quality small diaphragm cardioid condenser capsule coupled with a Class A amplifier circuit that leverages Earthworks’ patented and proprietary technologies, making it one of the fastest and most responsive mics on the market.

The SR314 shines onstage, directly addressing the challenges artists and engineers alike face when in these dynamic live environments. An incredibly tight cardioid polar pattern, consistent low frequency response across a wide range of distances, and extreme attenuation of sound sources located beyond 90 degrees —with maximum rejection at 180 degrees — truly makes the SR314 ideal for live performances.

“Our goal with the SR314 was to make the best live vocal microphone that could transcend the lines that typically divide sound reinforcement and studio gear,” says Megan Clifford, Director of Marketing for Earthworks. “The SR314 doesn’t just deliver studio quality on stage. It’s a vocal microphones that can seamlessly transition between those two worlds without compromising anything in terms of performance. It is the microphone that you both want to use for both onstage performances and studio recordings and is the best microphone for the job.”

Earthworks will be on hand at The NAMM Show in Booth #14902, where attendees will have the opportunity to experience the nominated SR314 through a variety of demonstrations and performances.

The NAMM TEC Awards will be held in conjunction with The NAMM Show on Saturday, January 18 in Anaheim, California.
