The XCover Pro is optimized for a variety of industries including retail, healthcare, logistics and manufacturing and provides several critical business-ready capabilities in a single form factor. The device is push-to-talk ready, enabling instant communication between the shop floor and the back office. Building on the existing partnership between Microsoft and Samsung to deliver unified experiences across mobile devices, Microsoft is the first partner to leverage the XCover Pro’s push-to-talk feature, through an integration for the device with Microsoft Teams that provides direct access to Teams’ new Walkie Talkie capability from a programmable key on the side of the device.

“The integration of the Galaxy XCover Pro’s push-to-talk functionality with Teams advances Microsoft’s longstanding partnership with Samsung, and brings the power of instant communication to where it’s needed most – the firstline,” said Emma Williams, Corporate Vice President, Modern Workplace Verticals at Microsoft.

“This new device, coupled with Microsoft’s Teams, will work best on the Verizon network, and will enable our business services teams to provide end-to-end solutions that accelerate our customer’s integration of rich productivity applications for their entire workforce – digitally transforming their operations for their customers,” said Jeff Dietel, SVP Marketing, Verizon Business Group.Video Player00:0000:55

The Future is Mobile

It’s clear enterprise customers need something different. And so, as we enter this new decade of mobile innovation, Samsung is throwing out the old paradigm of B2B mobile technology and creating an entirely new category. XCover Pro is more than just a new device, it’s a new mobile enterprise platform that will empower businesses and their frontline workers to harness mobility to turn any workplace location in to a seamless working environment.
