The best thing we can do right now to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to remain at home for the next few months. Luckily, there are plenty of things you can do at home that can keep you entertained. Here are some ways to entertain yourself in self-quarantine for the months ahead.
Play Video Games
Has there been a video game you’ve been itching to play? Well, now is the perfect time to sit down and play that game. Plus, playing video games online is a great way to socialize with others and remain safe. Speaking of staying safe, you are still in danger of suffering from blue light. We recommend that you wear some blue-light blocking glasses for when you play for long periods of time—they’ll help you stay healthy and comfortable.
If you aren’t much of a gamer, you can instead spend your time inside binge-watching. With theaters closing down, the only way to watch movies is at home for the time being. You can binge-watch all the movies that were nominated for best picture at this year’s Oscars, TV shows you’ve never seen before, or do a marathon of your favorite film series.
Gyms are also closed, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still be physically active. In fact, it’s essential to keep your immune system intact, and exercise is a great way to do so. You can go for a walk or run outside, but if you don’t feel comfortable enough to do that, you can set up a home gym by getting all the equipment you need online.
Experiment with Food
With food becoming limited at grocery stores, one way to entertain yourself during self-quarantine is to think about experimenting with different foods. This is a great way to find an enjoyable healthy diet, all while utilizing what you’ve already got in the fridge.
Play Board Games
Another fun activity you can do is gather around and play some board games. Just make sure you are giving yourself enough space between yourself and the other players. Board games can be a fun way to pass time with the people you are quarantined with.
Read a Book
To entertain yourself, consider reading a book. There’s a lot happening in our world today, and diving into a book of some kind can help you find escape. Not to mention, reading is great for your mind.
