Hands-On-Review: The Lovebox
Valentines Day is just around the corner and we all know people love to jump on the chocolate box, greeting card, giant teddy bear bandwagon. But why not make this year different? Looking for something that will give you and your spouse a fun, easy and intelligent way to share love and affection remotely? Today I am going to be reviewing The Lovebox which is a small box with a digital screen that can display images, text and other graphics in color or black and white. It’s basically like a digital post it note in its simplest form. In this review I will go over the details, the features, the prices, and the options available. The Lovebox is definitely not just for couples!
The Lovebox we received for review is “The Lovebox for Lovers”. The main difference between this box and others is the two “spinnies” that come with it. It comes with two different hearts to allow for customization. The regular red heart and a super cute light purple one called the Lilac spinny. The heart is what sits on the front of the box and alerts the person that there is a message waiting to be read. It will spin continuously as a little reminder until it is opened.
Once you open the box, it has a very beautiful digital display that will show you whatever the sender has sent to the box. Our’s is a color screen that can display images, text, and other graphics which you can see some examples in the photos below. The process is so simple but allows for couples to be able to show love still even when not together. I personally work night shift with an EMS company so I am gone 3 nights a week. I always like to send a message to the box for my wife to open and see at night and in the morning. It’s very simple but the thought goes a long way. Figuratively and physically.
To send messages you use The Lovebox App. The app is very straight forward. Once you set up your Lovebox with your phone using the simple instructions you can begin! Below are screenshots of an actual message I sent. You can see all the options available. The fun thing is, just like snapchat, there are streaks you can earn and coins that you collect to unlock new backgrounds and features. They’re completely free and you just earn them by sending love! There are multiple backgrounds you can use and select from. So many different ones that are prewritten with cute images or sayings on them. Or you can choose a blank background and add text or drawing yourself. You can also use pictures from your phone and add text or drawings just as I have done below. The options are endless! They are always adding new themes to use and the list keeps going on and on.
So far I have told you about how we use it as a couple. Whats even more amazing is the selection of boxes that are available. They have Loveboxes for all different types of people. They have a Lovebox for couples, Grandparents, kids, parents, good vibes, surprise box, Yes, I do, Pride box, and Hello Kitty. Each box comes with a different specialized spinny and other unique features. For instance the surprise box allows you to hide little surprises under the lid like candy! There is literally a box for everyone.
Personally, this has really helped my own relationship. Distance makes the heart grow fonder but small reminders make the heart grow stronger. The Lovebox is one of the coolest little devices I have ever received. Its simple design allows it to go almost anywhere in the house, it can be used by pretty much anyone, it gives you so many options to show a little love.
The Lovebox original is listed at $129.99. But if you want to upgrade to one of the special ones they are mostly priced at $134.99. For the amount of use we have both gotten out of it and how much fun it is to share things to it, I think it is highly worth it.
Head over to Lovebox and check out their full line, take a look at all of their options and remember that Valentine’s Day isn’t the only day that should be special. With the Lovebox you can make everyday full of love!
