Looking for a new set of headphones? Want quality, but don’t want to spend lots of money? The Pamu Slide 2 gives you good sound quality, ANC ( Active Noise Cancelling), and long battery life. Check out what we though about them during our past several weeks of testing.
The Pamu Slide 2 earbuds are compact earbuds that fit well in the ear. I’ve used them daily. Most days wearing them, I use them while i’m sleeping. They stay in all night, which is nice so I don’t have to try and find them after tossing and turning for 8 hours. I’ve also used them while mowing the lawn. They stayed in place, even while sweating in the hot Western Pennsylvania Summers.
The Pamu Slide 2 features Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling. This will reduce noise up to 45 decibiles between 20 and 2000 Hertz. You have the ability to change the ANC setting with the touch of the ear piece.
The Slide 2 also have a 10mm driver to give you suprisingly good bass from such a small device. Depending on what you are listening to and the setting on your phone, you will be more than happy with the bass you are able to hear. During our testing with both music and movies, we found the bass to be heard clearly but not felt. During some parts of movies, IMO the bass was home theater quality.
The earbuds are made from Food Grade Silicon, and come in 3 sizes to customize your fit. The Slide 2 also feature a pressure relief valve to help equalize the pressure from inside and outside of the ear.
When making phone calls, the audio is clear and thanks to Wind Noise Reduction, even if you are outside, the person on the other end of the call won’t have to keep asking you what you said.
The Pamu Slide 2 feature 6.5 to 7 hour listening time per charge. The case they come in is a charging case and will give you a total of up to 26 hours of listening time before you have to recharge the case. While we have been testing the Slide 2, we were able to achieve the upper end of battery life. There were multiple nights that when I woke up, my movie was still playing
The Slide 2 are very easy to control with just the tap of either earbud. For instance, a single click on either ear piece with pause and play your audio. Also, if you are on the phone, the single click will answer/disconnect your call. Pressing and holding on the Left ear piece will activate SIRI, while the same action on the Right ear piece will let you change the ANC mode.
For testing we used the 80’s station, Amaranth, Adel, and Ultimate Jazz Stations, all from Amazon Music. The movies we used were iRobot, The League of Extrordinay Gentlemen, The Day After Tomorrow, and Apollo 13.
