With this cordless trimmer, gone are the hard starts, trips to the gas station and the need for oil and sparkplugs, not to mention costly tune-ups. Plus, the WORX 20V batteries are compatible with up to 100 other WORX 20V, 40V and 80V lawn and garden, DIY tools and lifestyle products for cost savings and convenience.
The 40V 15 in. string trimmer features a dependable highly-efficient brushless motor that provides up to 50 percent longer run time, 25 percent more power and 10 times longer life than standard brushed motors. The brushless motor runs cooler with less friction and heat buildup than conventional motors, resulting in smooth, reliable operation and extended tool life.
This 40V straight shaft trimmer features dual feed .095 in. professional twisted line that makes quick work of trimming in thick grass and edging driveways, sidewalks and patios. Most line usage occurs during edging when making contact with hard surfaces, such as concrete or asphalt, which shreds and depletes line. Other line depletion areas include fence lines and yard obstructions. With dual-exit professional line, the WORX Nitro trimmer uses a quick-load line replacement system that speeds line replacement. Advancing line is fast and easy using bump feed.
The 40V, 15 in. string trimmer has variable speed control, which allows the user to maximize run time by varying the trimmer’s speed to match the task. The trimmer also features a push-button ECO mode to conserves battery consumption when trimming sensitive areas such as flower beds, vegetable gardens and other areas.
The 40V trimmer features a single charge level battery indicator that monitors the combined charge levels of both 20V batteries. The 15 in. string trimmer comes with a 4-amp, dual port 2 hr. charger (both batteries) and a pre-wound coil with 13 ft. of professional .095 twisted line. WORX offers bulk .095 replacement line through parts including 197 ft. .095 in. bulk line (WA0205, $15.99) and 13 ft. of .095 pre-cut line in 5 pc. coils (WA0209, $13.99).
The trimmer has a 15 in. cutting swath, a protective debris guard for operator safety from dirt and debris. The
9.20 lb. 40V trimmer is nicely balanced and highly maneuverable. Its D-shaped adjustable front-assist handle has a smooth overmold grip for comfort and maximum control.
