AAA: Gas Prices Tumble in PA
Gas prices are five cents lower in Western Pennsylvania this week at $3.416 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.

Trend Analysis:
The downward trend in pump prices continues as the national average for a gallon of gas fell by two cents over the past week to $3.08. Today’s national average is 12 cents less than a month ago and 29 cents less than a year ago.
According to new data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), gas demand slid from 9.15 million barrels per day last week to 8.82. Meanwhile, total domestic gasoline stocks rose from 210.9 million barrels to 211.3, while gasoline production increased last week, averaging 9.7 million barrels daily.
At the close of Wednesday’s formal trading session, West Texas Intermediate fell 30 cents to settle at $71.69 a barrel. The EIA reports that crude oil inventories increased by 2.1 million barrels from the previous week. At 427.7 million barrels, U.S. crude oil inventories are about 5% below the five-year average for this time of year.
