The WORX® Nitro 20V Power Share 1/2 in. Hammer Drill with Brushless Motor is a toolbox mainstay for a wide range of DIY and builders’ projects that call for drilling in concrete, concrete block, brick, other masonry and stone. Key to the hammer drill’s performance is its efficient Nitro brushless motor that runs 50 percent longer, provides 25 percent more power and is maintenance-free, compared to traditional brushed motors.

The WORX Nitro 20V Hammer Drill’s motor is controlled electronically, rather than with carbon brushes. Therefore, it transfers power more efficiently and runs cooler with less friction and heat build-up than brushed motors. This maximizes battery energy and runtime, while providing smooth, reliable operation and extended tool life.

Besides rotating drill bits like a drill-driver, the Nitro hammer drill drives bits forward with a rapidly pulsing, hammer-like action. These thousands of blows-per-minute (bpm) quickly and easily drill holes in concrete and other hard materials. The hammer drill also features a standard rotary setting for drilling in wood, metal and other non-masonry materials.

The Nitro hammer drill is the tool of choice for such jobs as installing storage shelves and cabinetry on concrete or concrete block walls in basements and garages.  It’s also the right tool for attaching mailboxes, hand rails or gutter brackets on brick and other masonry exteriors.

The hammer drill is ideal for installing electrical boxes and conduit, as well as drilling through- holes for wiring, in concrete or masonry walls.  Ambitious projects such as wall framing or anchoring posts to concrete floors also call for the extra force of a hammer drill.

The cordless hammer drill is equipped with a heavy-duty, 1/2 in., ratcheting, metal chuck for superior bit retention. It also features all-metal gears to ensure dependable performance throughout the toughest jobs.

WORX Nitro 20V Hammer Drill 6.jpgThe hammer drill’s two-speed gearing and 22+1+1 clutch positions enable users to easily find the best speed and torque for each job.  In hammer mode, its two impact ranges are 0-9600 and 0-32000 bpm (blows-per-minute).  No-load drilling speed ranges are 0-600 and 0-2000 rpm. The tool is capable of drilling 1-3/4 in. in wood and 1/2 in. in steel. The hammer drill’s maximum torque is 531 in.-lbs.

Weighing just 3.4 lbs. (with battery), the Nitro 20V hammer drill is compact and well balanced.  It has a variable speed trigger, as well as a comfortable micro-texture grip. A built-in LED light illuminates the work area when the trigger is pressed, and stays lit for 20 seconds after the trigger is released.

The hammer drill’s brushless motor is powered by a 20V, 2.0Ah, MAX lithium, Power Share battery.  Power Share batteries are compatible with more than 75 WORX 20V, 40V and 80V DIY, lawn and garden, and lifestyle products for cost savings and convenience.

Included with the WORX Nitro 20V Power Share 1/2 in. Hammer Drill with Brushless Motor is a 20V, 2.0Ah battery; 2A, 1 hr. charger; belt clip; double-ended bit and carrying bag.  The hammer drill is covered by the WORX three-year limited warranty.

The WORX Nitro 20V Power Share 1/2 in. Hammer Drill with Brushless Motor (WX352L, $129.99) is available at worx.com and Amazon. A bare tool version (WX352L.9, $109.99), minus the battery and charger, also is available at worx.com and Amazon.
