Toyota Corolla Cross Stands Out with Vibrant New Colors for 2025

With its stylish design, choice of gas or hybrid powertrains, impressive fuel efficiency, and thoughtful use of space, the Toyota Corolla Cross is the perfect package for those who live life on the go. For 2025, the compact SUV adds even more flair to the lineup with a radiant new Soul Red Crystal color. Available on the gas LE and XLE, and Hybrid SE and XSE grades, Soul Red Crystal is exclusive to the Corolla Cross model in the Toyota lineup. On the Corolla Cross Hybrid SE, XSE, and Nightshade models, Soul Red Crystal can be paired with a Jet Black Roof for a stylish two-tone combination.

The 2025 Corolla Cross Hybrid Nightshade also adds an available grade exclusive Wind Chill Pearl and Jet Black Roof option. Additional changes across the Corolla Cross lineup for 2025 include matte black mirror caps and shark fin antenna on the L and S grades and gloss black mirror caps and shark fin antenna on all other grades, adding a subtle exterior accent to the models; the AWD badge also moves to the rear across the lineup and a Hybrid Electric Vehicle “HEV” badge is now on the rear liftgate of the Hybrid models.

The exterior of the 2025 Corolla Cross boasts a compact design featuring bold, sculpted lines that convey both agility and strength. From its athletic stance to its distinctive grille flanked by LED lighting, to its available power rear liftgate, every angle of the Corolla Cross tells a story of fun and utility. The Corolla Cross interior design continues with a mantra of value-packed functionality, with seating for five, standard rear vents, and 60/40-split folding rear seats that can expand the cargo area when needed.

Assembled in the U.S. in Huntsville, Alabama, the Toyota Corolla Cross hits the sweet spot for fuel efficiency. It is available in a choice of two powertrains – a 2.0-liter Hybrid with electronic on-demand All Wheel Drive (AWD) or 2.0-liter gas-powered model that is available in Front- or All-Wheel Drive (FWD or AWD). Hybrid models have a manufacturer estimated 42 combined MPG rating and the gas-powered models have up to a manufacturer estimated 32 combined MPG rating (FWD models).

The 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross is expected to start arriving at Toyota dealerships in late December of 2024. Hybrid powered models will have a starting Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price* (MSRP) of $28,395 (S grade) and gas-powered models will have a starting MSRP of $24,035 (FWD L grade).

*MSRP excludes Dealer Processing and Handling (DPH) fee, to see the latest DPH and full Toyota lineup pricing click here.

The Power of Choice
The Corolla Cross is available in a choice of Hybrid or gas-powered models. The Hybrid model is available in four grades: S, SE, Nightshade, and XSE all equipped with Electronic On-Demand AWD standard. The gas-powered models come in three grades: L, LE and XLE all with FWD or AWD available.

Across both powertrains, the versatile design of the Corolla Cross is spacious, modern, powerful and value packed. From an engineering perspective, it offers an approachable exterior as well as a higher line-of-sight thanks to the revised TNGA-C platform. There’s even available two-toned paint and 18-inch alloy wheels with sporty looks that are destined to stand out.

Inside, Corolla Cross’ spacious interior offers many of the desirable creature comforts that modern drivers expect. All grades feature an 8-inch touchscreen equipped with the Toyota Audio Multimedia system. The model can be outfitted with an available power moonroof or available dual-zone (standard on XLE and Hybrid XSE) automatic climate control.

In the back, storage space can be maxed out thanks to the 60/40-split folding rear seats that come standard on all grades, while the XLE and XSE models also include a center armrest with two additional cupholders. To make access to the roomy cargo area even more convenient, the Corolla Cross has an available power liftgate with height adjustability. Available accessories include a roof rack with crossbars, an activity mount for carrying items such as bicycles, a tow hitch and all-weather floormats to help keep you equipped for any adventure.

Two Mighty Powertrains
The Corolla Cross comes in a choice of Hybrid or gas powered models. Additionally, every Corolla Cross has a towing capacity of up to 1,500 lbs. (enough to pull a trailer with a personal watercraft for a day of fun on the lake).

The Corolla Cross Hybrid comes with Toyota’s 5th Generation Toyota HEV system and standard electronic on-demand AWD. It’s powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) and three electric motors. The drive train is an Electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (ECVT). Altogether, it has a system net combined output of 196 horsepower and an 8 second 0-60 time, making the Corolla Cross Hybrid fun to drive. It also has an impressive manufacturer estimated 42 combined MPG rating for all Hybrid grades.

The Corolla Cross Hybrid is equipped with a compact Lithium-Ion battery that minimizes weight without compromising on power. Even better – the battery that powers the HEV system is located under the rear seats, maximizing cargo capacity and lowering the center of gravity. All Hybrid grades come with a sport-tuned double-wishbone type multi-link rear suspension with coil springs, trailing arms, stabilizer bar, and hydraulic shock absorbers, for a capable yet comfortable ride.

Gas-powered models are equipped with the Dynamic Force four cylinder, 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve with Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) engine paired to a Continuously Variable Transmission with intelligence and Shift Mode (CVTi-S). For gas models, that means a punchy 169 horsepower engine with a physical first gear for an engaging driving experience. For those who choose AWD, Toyota’s clever Dynamic Torque Control system directs up to 50% of power to the rear wheels when it’s needed – and disengages completely when it’s not. This feature helps Corolla Cross’ fuel economy – another strong suit for this powertrain – with a manufacturer estimated 30 combined MPG rating on AWD models; FWD equipped models have a manufacturer estimated 32 combined MPG rating.

Connectivity for the Long Drive
The 2025 Corolla Cross is ready to keep the music flowing and stay connected with the latest Toyota Audio Multimedia system and Toyota Connected Services trials. All grades come with an 8-inch touchscreen and includes standard wireless compatibility for Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. For drivers that want a more robust soundscape they can select an available nine-speaker JBL® Premium sound system. Mobile devices will stay topped off through two front USB Type-C charging ports. The LE, XLE, SE, Nightshade, and XSE grades add standard Qi wireless charging up front and two USB charging ports for rear seat passengers, for a total of four charging ports to power up the whole crew while on the road!

With an active Drive Connect subscription**, drivers and passengers have access to Intelligent Assistant, Cloud Navigation and Destination Assist. With Intelligent Assistant, simple phrases like “Hey Toyota” awaken the system for voice activated commands to search for directions, find Points of Interest (POI), adjust audio controls, change the cabin temperatures and more. Cloud Navigation, the available onboard navigation solution, utilizes the cloud to download the latest available map, traffic and routing information. To ensure users have the most up-to-date search capabilities, POI search is provided by Google Points-of-Interest data. Destination Assist also gives access to 24/7 live agent assistance to locate the next destination.

Additional available Connected Services trials include Safety Connect** with up to 10-year trial; Remote Connect** with 1-year trial; Service Connect** with up to 10-year trial; and Wi-Fi Connect** with up to 3 GB within 30-day trial.
