Review: Veer Beach Wheels

Veer is probably one of my families favorite brands in our household. We have the Cruiser XL and the City Cruiser XL and have been on so many adventures we’ve lost count. We have made countless trips to the beaches in North Carolina and the issue has always been the dreaded sand. Thankfully we have been able to defeat that issue with a simple and inflated fix! The Veer Beach Wheels are the savior we all need to take adventure by the horns and lead the way.

Design

Veer, the top dog in the adventure world, realized that adventure takes place anywhere from the city streets, to the forests and mountains and all the way to the coastal beaches. The only issue with the coastal beaches was it is super difficult to pull or push through the sand to get to that perfect spot. They designed the Beach Wheels that make rolling across the sand a breeze.

The wheels are made of aircraft grade aluminum which gives them a lightweight feel with a mountain of power. The hardware is corrosion resistant giving you protection from the abrasive sand and salt water you may encounter while chasing the seagulls or finding a perfect sunbathing location. Even though these are super protective, be sure to take the extra few minutes when you arrive home to wipe and spray them down. Maintenance on anything you own will always make them last much longer regardless of how amazing the product is. There is also oversized covers that go above the wheels to protect against little fingers and to deflect any additional water or sand flinging up onto the kids.

Clicking them in and out of the Cruiser is just as simple as the regular wheels. I would suggest removing them before loading into the vehicle to allow the Cruiser to fold up into its most compact form and to allow you to clean off any sand or water prior to getting into the car. Just like everything else from Veer these are simple hose washable and super easy to clean as I mentioned above.

The wheels are extremely easy to make sure they are inflated correctly. Using a small pump just ensure you have about 2-3 PSI. This is important as over inflating may pop them or cause them to not ride correctly with little ones inside. When properly inflated you can carry about 100 pounds worth of little ones or cargo in the cruiser without an issue. Add in your Day Cooler and Basecamp and I promise you, the beach will be the best day ever.

One important feature I want to mention is this is a pull only Cruiser when the beach wheels are in. I didn’t test out why you can’t push but I imagine that it would not work with with the size difference and mechanics of the Cruiser. That being said, pulling this on the sand was insanely easier than even pulling it on the ground. It felt like the Cruiser was just floating along and being able to carry two kids, the basecamp, coolers and the extra goodies all in one wagon was life changing. Loading up was just as easy and gave the kids a perfect space to zonk after playing Mermaids with my wife and I.

Overall

If you are a Cruiser owner and are going to make any amount of trips to a beach or anywhere with soft sand then you have no excuse to not own these. I took my Cruisers to the beach a few times prior to getting these and it was a massive struggle. Once we clicked the wheels in it was on! I know the people laying down at Emerald Isle were jealous of our set up as multiple people asked about all of our Veer items. The wheels are so easy to pack up and set up it only takes a few seconds. Rocking them through the sand was easier than actually getting there. Cleaning and maintenance is just as simple as all of the other Veer products. Making everything simple to wash with just a hose has changed the game for us as a family and makes it even more fun to go do things. If you haven’t already, head over HERE to Veer and pick up all of the amazing products you NEED in your life. Adventure is out there and you’re just a few clicks away from taking it.
