Symbaroum Anniversary Kickstarter Now Live With Revised Core Books and New Campaign Setting

Free League Publishing has launched the Symbaroum Anniversary Kickstarter, celebrating ten years of the acclaimed dark fantasy TTRPG’s international release with revised core books and a hardcover setting expansion. The campaign was fully funded within 20 minutes of launch, surpassing its initial $53K USD goal, and passed $70K in less than 30 minutes.

The campaign revisits the world of Symbaroum through three revised hardcover volumes designed to provide a smoother, more user-friendly path into the game for newcomers and longtime fans alike. The anniversary line reorganizes material from the original four core books into the Core Rulebook, Gamemaster’s Guide, and Davokar Creature Codex. The Core Rulebook remains a standalone, all-in-one entry point for bringing Symbaroum to the table.

The Kickstarter also includes Davokar and Ambria – Darkness Rising, a companion hardcover volume expanding Symbaroum’s main game setting, and City States of Vendilyn – A Ravaged Realm, a full-color expansion introducing a new campaign setting ravaged by the malevolent elves of Duskwood. 

Highlights from the Symbaroum Anniversary Kickstarter include:

• Core Rulebook: Everything needed to bring Symbaroum to the table, including a tutorial adventure, guidelines for creating homebrew scenarios, and an introduction to the dark and foreboding Davokar region.
• Gamemaster’s Guide: Advanced guidance for running Symbaroum, including support for campaign building, adventure creation, and optional rules for large-scale battles, advanced traps, and social scheming.
• Davokar Creature Codex: A detailed bestiary presenting the monsters and people players will encounter on their travels, featuring updated practical stat blocks while building on the legacy of the award-winning Monster Codex.
• City States of Vendilyn – A Ravaged Realm: A full-color hardcover volume introducing the City States of Vendilyn as a new campaign setting ravaged by the malevolent elves of Duskwood.
• Davokar and Ambria – Darkness Rising: A companion hardcover volume that expands Symbaroum’s main game setting.

All volumes will be available in English and presented in premium hardcover format. Each book also features detailed illustrations by Martin Grip and Gustaf Ekelund, with Grip contributing new original character art for the Core Rulebook.
