Defy Death in Forsworn, an Epic Co-Op Roguelite Tactical RPG Available Now on Steam

Today, developer Resummon Studios launched the co-op tactical roguelite RPG Forsworn on Steam. Set against the backdrop of a calamitous conflict, players can band together with two friends or take the fight solo as they embark on a legendary journey to defy death, defy the gods, and save the realm.

After the land has been torn apart by a divine war, Forsworn sends players on an epic quest to retake their home. Across unforgiving battles, parties must chain their powers and build powerful synergies as they risk everything to overcome death. But parties meeting their demise isn’t their end. Through tactical turn-based roguelite combat, each run lets players craft over 150 items and earn more than 200 abilities to create the ultimate hero and unleash game-breaking combos.

Players don’t have to save the realm on their own. Three-player co-op allows champions to rally with their friends in fast-paced gameplay, as simultaneous turns for all players mean fights are brisk and tactical. The roster comes packed with six unique heroes, each with their own three distinct subclasses, allowing for endless replayability and strategic gameplay as parties come together to take down overwhelming odds.

Forsworn Key Features:

• Fight Solo or Together: Lead your champions solo or team up with up to two friends online, with all players playing simultaneously for fast and tactical battles.
   
• Build Your Party: Choose heroes, unlock abilities, equip items, and shape your team across each run as you aim to create game-breaking combos.
   
• Make Every Run Count: Learn from defeat, collect Soul Shards, and return stronger than ever before as you create endless hero builds.
   
• Unleash Ultimate Abilities: Charge powerful hero abilities through attacking, casting spells, or defending, and use them to turn the battle in your favor.
   
• Choose Your Challenge: Enter the world of Forsworn in two primary game modes (Roguelike Adventure and Endless Arena) across five difficulties that add new layers of challenges, from random modifiers added to enemies to map-wide trials that affect the entire counter. Each run and encounter will be fresh as you and your friends try out different party builds.

I absolutely loved the gridless movement and Action Point economy of Larian’s Divinity: Original Sin, and couldn’t find similar games that focused purely on this kind of combat,” said Dat Le, Lead Developer at Resummon Studios. “I started Forsworn as a small hobby project to create the game I’ve always dreamed of playing – pure Divinity: Original Sin-style combat, roguelike party building, and stacking hero synergies.
