GIBSON GARAGE MIAMI IS NOW OPEN THE ULTIMATE GUITAR EXPERIENCE HAS ARRIVED
| Gibson, the iconic global instrument brand that has shaped the sounds of generations of musicians and music lovers for more than 130 years, has officially opened the doors to the new Gibson Garage Miami. Music fans lined the streets to be among the first to experience the new destination. Inside, guests enjoyed a special “In Conversation” event with Gibson artists, live music from the Gibson Garage Miami stage, artist appearances, and an immersive look at the instruments, art, culture, and creative energy that define the newest Gibson Garage. Sergio Vallín of Maná, Grace Potter, Nico Bereciartua of The Black Crowes, Gian Marco, Luis Enrique, Ivan Singh, and more joined Gibson leaders, community members, and music fans in the Magic City to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Gibson Garage Miami. The Gibson Garage is the ultimate guitar experience and a global destination for music lovers, offering fans the opportunity to explore Gibson’s more than 130-year history of craftsmanship, innovation, and music-making. Gibson Garage Miami marks Gibson’s third global retail and experience destination, following the successful openings of the Gibson Garage Nashville and Gibson Garage London. Located in the heart of Miami’s Wynwood Art District at 2660 NW 3rd Avenue, Miami, FL 33127, Gibson Garage Miami brings together music, art, craftsmanship, culture, and community in one of the world’s most dynamic creative cities. “Miami is a city where cultures, sounds, and stories come together, and that makes it a natural home for Gibson Garage,” says Anne Rohosy, Interim CEO of Gibson. “We want this to be much more than a place to experience our guitars. Inside Gibson Garage Miami, visitors can plug in and play more than 500 electric and acoustic guitars, basses, amplifiers, and related products from all Gibson brands, including Gibson, Gibson Custom, Gibson Acoustic, Epiphone, Kramer, MESA/Boogie, Maestro, Gibson Amplifiers, and Guitar Cases. Fans are invited to pick up and play any instruments from the entire Gibson family of brands. Visitors can also explore exclusive Gibson apparel, lifestyle collections, gifts, accessories, and Miami-inspired collaborations. Spanning more than 8,000 square feet, the new destination invites musicians, collectors, beginners, and music fans to explore Gibson’s complete ecosystem of instruments and gear in an immersive, hands-on environment. Overhead, a moving conveyor belt of guitars pays tribute to Gibson’s manufacturing process and symbolizes each instrument’s journey from creation to connection. At Gibson Garage Miami, music lovers can work with Gibson Garage Pros to create a personalized instrument through the Gibson Custom Made to Measure program. Guests can select a unique guitar top and choose specifications including neck profiles, finishes, hardware, and Gibson Custom Murphy Lab aging options to create a dream guitar handcrafted by Gibson Custom artisans in Nashville. Gibson Garage Miami also features a dedicated acoustic guitar room with one of the largest displays of Gibson acoustic guitars in Miami, along with expansive areas devoted to Epiphone electric, acoustic, and bass guitars, as well as Kramer guitars. Whether a seasoned professional musician, a casual guitar player, an aspiring beginner, a collector, or simply a music fan, Gibson Garage Miami is a must-see music and cultural destination in the Magic City. MUSIC, ART, AND MIAMI CULTURE The Gibson Garage Miami is the ultimate guitar, music, and cultural experience, featuring unique discoveries inspired by Miami’s vibrant Latin, Caribbean, and global creative communities throughout the space. At the heart of Gibson Garage Miami is a state-of-the-art performance stage where music fans will experience regular live performances, intimate artist showcases and signings, album release events, panel discussions, in-person guitar lessons, and community programs featuring musicians, artists, and cultural innovators from Miami and around the world. The stage will serve as a bridge between artists, fans, and instruments, bringing music to life through stripped-down performances, unexpected collaborations, artist conversations, and special events that reflect the energy and musical diversity of Miami. Gibson Garage Miami also celebrates the city’s dynamic visual culture through a multifaceted arts program anchored by the first Gibson Gallery in the United States. The gallery will present rotating exhibitions exploring the powerful relationship between music and visual culture, bringing together music photography, fine art, street art, rare imagery, artist collaborations, and multidisciplinary installations. The inaugural exhibition, Amplified: Icons of Music Through the Lens, is presented in partnership with Getty Images and features more than 30 photographs of influential musicians across rock, blues, pop, country, folk, jazz, reggae, and Americana. Drawn from the Getty Images archive, the exhibition brings together portraits and performance photographs that capture the personalities, energy, and creative force behind some of music’s most enduring legacies. Featured artists include Bob Marley, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, Eddie Van Halen, Dolly Parton, Madonna, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, AC/DC, Sheryl Crow, and more. The Gibson Gallery will also provide an ongoing platform for collaborations with photographers, painters, muralists, designers, musicians, and multidisciplinary artists from Miami and around the world. Gibson commissioned two new large-scale murals from local Miami artists Solano and Nate Dee. Visitors can experience Solano’s mural inside the Gibson Garage Miami in the Kramer area, while Nate Dee’s bold outdoor work activates the building’s south façade at 2450 NW 2nd Avenue, further connecting the destination to the Wynwood neighborhood’s internationally recognized street art culture.
