Farming Simulator 25: Highlands Fishing is now available for PC & consoles to grant the popular series by publisher & developer GIANTS Software another requested form of farming: aquaculture. Available as Expansion and Edition (bundled with the main game), Highlands Fishing invites players to the Scotland-inspired town of Kinlaig in the Highlands.
Welcome to Wind-Bitten Kinlaig – Rough & Relaxing
Inspired by the Scottish Highlands with rocky valleys, hilly meadows, and remnants of ancient times, this landscape, overcast by clouds, stretches far out to sea: Kinlaig invites not only to cultivate a new crop, onions, but also to extend the farming operation with professional aquaculture, new construction projects like restoring a century-old castle, and various new production chains. As rough and windy as Kinlaig is, the new fishing mini-game, authentic architecture in the old town, and new collectibles invite you to explore town and forest.
Diving into Aquaculture, Fishing on the Shore
Aquafarmers can breed, raise, and harvest salmon and trout by fishing both on land and at sea. Aquafarms, fish breeding facilities, a fish food factory and other new buildings can be owned and managed by resident farmers. Venturing out onto the water provides an alternative, productive way to gather resources and offers another peaceful escape besides fields, forests, and stables. The peaceful image of life by the water is rounded out by casual shore fishing with a rod in hand, and commented on by a new NPC called Alasdair.
New Machines for Land & Sea
Specialized equipment is included in the expansion and the fleet of vehicles and implements grows with four new brands and over 20 new machines. Manufacturers Agri-Spread, Can-Am, GT Bunning & Monosem join the series, so farmers can authentically cultivate onions, tend to the Highland Cattle, and raise the fish.
Farming Simulator 25 is available for PC, Mac, PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S. A Year 1 Season Pass is obtainable and includes three packs and the Highlands Fishing Expansion – fans save up to 25% compared to getting the content separately. Farming Simulator 25: Highlands Fishing Edition includes the main game and the expansion and is available at selected channels.
