Kepler Vision Technologies will be attending CES 2023

Global leader in vision-based human activity recognition software Kepler Vision Technologies will be exhibiting its computer vision powered elderly care solution at CES 2023 this January

Kepler Vision Technologies has been selected to represent The Netherlands by the country’s Accelerate the Changeinitiative – which has chosen 30 start-up and scale-ups from the country’s technology space to carry the flag at the world’s largest tech conference

On the trade floor Kepler will be showcasing its world leading elderly care software – the Kepler Night Nurse – demonstrating the positive impact its use can have on both patients and care staff. The computer vision enabled monitoring solution can identify whenever patients have fallen, are in physcal discomfort, are wandering where they are not meant to – ensuring that care staff can respond to immediately at without fail.

Kepler Vision will be announcing the launch of its “Appearance Based Access” tool at CES, which allows elderly patients (particularly those suffering from dementia) safety and security while they move around care facilities. It detects when a patient enters rooms that they are not supposed to and, in that case, instantly warns the care staff – but ensures that patients are always able to access their own room without the need to remember their keys, or wearable access device.

Dr. Harro Stokman, CEO of Kepler Vision Technologies, said: “I look forward to Kepler Vision Technologies triumphant return to CES. Kepler Vision has gone from strength to strength in the last few years – expanding what we can do with computer vision monitoring, and expandingly rapidly internationally. We look forward to showing CES attendees how we can address one of the key issues at the core of modern healthcare – how to best use technology to enhance the quality of healthcare in a way that benefits both patients and care staff.”

CES 2023 will take place from the 4th to the 8th of January 2023 in Las Vegas Nevada. Kepler Vision Technologies will be available in the Venetian Expo (Hall A-C, Booth 55332) offering live demonstrations of its proprietary computer vision technology in action.

About Kepler Vision Technologies

The Dutch company Kepler Vision Technologies develops unique artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for healthcare. With AI, the software can detect incidents on screen. Not only when people fall or need help, but also when people with dementia stray from their location. It is also possible to use AI to recognise undesirable actions or behaviour, including aggression.

The mission of Kepler Vision Technologies is to make the work of healthcare professionals less stressful and therefore more enjoyable. This will make chasing false alarms and writing endless reports a thing of the past, and put the focus back on delivering in-person care. The Kepler team consists of employees with an expertise in healthcare and numerous employees with PhDs in AI. This makes the care software of Kepler Vision Technologies reliable and of an unequalled level.

The company has a solid financial basis, thanks in part to investments by University of Amsterdam Ventures and the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs. Due to the increasing demand for elderly care and a reduced supply of care workers, Kepler Vision Technologies is positioned for global growth in the coming years. The company has its head office in Amsterdam, an experience centre in Eindhoven and is now operational in several European countries.
