Hands On: LifeCHARGE Battery Case For iPhone 5 and 5s

Nothing is worse than being out on the run and your phone battery dies with no charger around.  Thanks to the folks over at ONTRION if your iPhone 5/5S seems to suffer from bad battery life you can now get the LifeCHARGE Battery Case for your phone.

The LifeCHARGE Battery Case is a two piece  case that not only protects your phone but takes your battery storage form 1440 mAh and adds another 2300mAh to almost triple your total battery size. The Case is also MFi Approved meaning it meets Apple’s standards for quality.

Installation is easy as the case comes in 2 parts. Slide on side on then slide the other side on and you are good to go. The case fits very tight to your phone for good protection. The case comes around to protect the screen from drops while allowing room for a screen protector without causing peeling on the edges of the protector.

The case itself is made out of a ridged plastic to keep from breaking during drops and also to last the test of time. On the back of the case is the LifeCHARGE logo along with 4 Blue LED lights to show you the charge status of the battery pack. Underneath the lights is a power button. You can choose to either use the battery pack or just run on the  internal battery of your iPhone.

On the bottom, they have created a wide opening for the speaker jack. The one downside to the case is the fact that there is no included headphone jack adapter to allow you to use headphones with right angle plugs. On the front,  they have provided openings for the sound to be projected out the front, which is an improvement over the standard phone.

To charge your phone and the LifeCHARGE battery case, you use a standard microUSB cable that is provided, not the Lightning cable.  You can also use the cable for data transfer.

The LifeCHARGE case gives your phone and extra 10+ hours of battery life depending on your usage.  Given the extra battery life and the fact that the case doesn’t add much to the size of the phone so you can still fit it in your pocket.

The LifeCHARGE Battery Case is available for $79.99 at Best Buy ,, and
