Hands On: Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 2 Tires
Here at Cerebral-Overload, we like to look out for you. So we decided to put 40,000 miles on the Bridgestone Dueler tires so you don’t have too. Take a look and see how they handled.
For starters, these tires were put on our 2008 GMC Envoy that we just purchased. Alignment was good so tire wear would be even. Tires were rotated every 9,000 miles also.
Here they are after being installed 2 days after purchase of the vehicle.
The Bridgestone Dueler A/T REVO 2 is designed for Light Truck/SUV?Jeep and has a Limited Treadwear Warranty of up to 50,000 miles. They offer both on and off-road features with great wet weather handling. If you are into light off-roading, these tires will serve you well. Thanks to the unique tread patter on the Dueler A/T REVO 2 tires, you get excellent dry weather traction and in the rain, the tread wisks water away to help keep you from hydroplaining. The patter also helps keep snow and mud from building up in the treads to keep traction in winter and in off-road conditions.
Wet weather traction with the Dueler A/T 2 Tires are great. Here in Western Pennsylvania, we have a road Rt 65 that until last year had channels in the drive lanes that would puddle up water and cause people to hydroplane. With the A/T 2 tiers, we had very few issues of hydroplaining even when traveling the speed limit. On normal roads, the tires still grip, even with the wet roads. You don’t need to worry about loosing traction, unless you are driving horribly for the conditions.
As you can see here, these tires handle the snow great. They have deep channels that keep the water out from before, and don’t collect snow This gives your vehicle great traction when the roads aren’t the greatest. As you can see in the video, our GMC held the road without sliding or loosing grip. This trip was also made in 2 wheel drive. For hills and inclines, we did use 4 wheel dive, but still had only minor issues with loss of traction.
While the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 2 Tires aren’t made for heavy offroading, you can see they are still good for light off-road trips.
Here are all four tires using the penny test. You can see that after 40,000 miles, the tires are nearing the end of their life, but they still have some tread left on them..

They have great all around traction, very low road noise, and you can get great tread life with them. Check out the Bridgestone Website for these and all the other great tires they offer.
