As an entrepreneur, you can probably think of lots of plenty of things that you would rather spend money on instead of spending it on an office. You can run most services online, from meetings to a physical address.
- Team locations. If you’re recruiting talent with a wider net, then there is no guarantee that all of your team members will come from the same area. If your team lives all over the country, then it is sensible for them to work from home, rather than you set up an office.
- If your startup is based around a digital product, then why put the time in to finding a location, negotiating a lease, and maintaining an office? If your priority is to build a business, then an office isn’t always needed.
- There are some subjective benefits to working from home instead of working from an office. Some find that remote work lets them be more productive, and some people are a lot happier working from home than they are in an office.
