About BORE BLASTERS

BORE BLASTERS is a mining game where you take control of a dwarven gyrocopter to explore and mine for gems. Blast through rocks with a powerful chaingun drill. Collect rare gems and ores and use them to permanently improve your ship and bolt on temporary upgrades.

Explore a large archipelago of floating islands in your dwarven airship. Drill to the bottom of each dig site to acquire new upgrades and unlock new areas to explore. Each dig site consists of a variety of different biomes with unique gameplay implications. There are even rumors of ancient civilizations buried deep underground. There are multiple playable characters to unlock, each with a unique special ability. The quest system provides custom missions to complete and unfolds a rivalry with the goblin warriors that inhabit the world. There are a variety of enemies to engage, just hope the legends of dragons lurking in the depths are nothing but stories!

BORE BLASTERS provides bite-sized runs (ranging from 2 to 10+ minutes) with a satisfying progression system, where even failed runs provide benefits. There are plenty of discoveries to be made and upgrades to unlock. The gameplay is intense, satisfying, and easy to jump into.

About 8BitSkull

8BitSkull is an indie game development studio based in Scotland and consists of Alex Asvegren (lead developer) and Christoph Gray (music, sound effects). For BORE BLASTERS, the team also included Joey De Jong (lead artist) and Andy Behan (visual design). 8BitSkull has previously released Void Scrappers and Fates of Ort.

We have taken what we learned from developing a horde survival game (Void Scrappers) and applied it to BORE BLASTERS. We’ve kept the good parts of mining games – the satisfaction of mining for resources and purchasing upgrades, the exploration and discovery. We’ve discarded the often slow pace and instead injected intensity, accessibility, and raw power!
