Originally developed by Monolith Productions and released in 1997 for MS-DOS PCs, Blood is a legendary first-person shooter that drips with Lovecraftian atmosphere and chunks of crimson viscera. Nightdive Studios released an updated edition called Blood: Fresh Supply on PC in 2019; the studio revisited the title to deliver a definitive remaster featuring additional technical enhancements for modern platforms, including up to 4K resolution at unlocked frame rates, local split-screen and online co-op for up to 8 players, a Vault with behind-the-scenes content from the development of Blood, and more! For the first time, the gory shooter is also available on consoles.

“The thirst from fans for more Blood has been palpable since Atari and Nightdive released our first remaster, Blood: Fresh Supply, in 2019,” said Larry Kuperman, VP of Business Development at Nightdive Studios. “We are grateful to our partners at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for a second chance to not only bring this iconic shooter to consoles for the first time, but also to make it the definitive version of Blood with new content created by Nightdive and highly talented guest developers from the Blood modding community.”

Players of Blood: Refreshed Supply must jump into the boots of undead gunslinger Caleb as he seeks revenge against the dark god Tchernobog. Despite his once powerful position as a fearsome Cabal commander and one of Tchernobog’s “Chosen” few, Caleb and his fellow Chosen are betrayed by the dark god and slain for reasons unknown. Seeking answers and vengeance, Caleb rises from the grave to put a stop to Tchernobog and his murderous lieutenants once and for all. Caleb’s arsenal features a mix of standard and occult weaponry, which he uses to devastating and gore-filled effect.

Armies of bloodthirsty fiends, including cultists, gargoyles, zombies, hellhounds, alongside a host of other unholy terrors, await players across the game’s 42 pulse-pounding levels — waiting to be mutilated by a vicious arsenal of weapons. Additionally, Blood buddies can take the fun into multiplayer, either online or on the couch in split-screen. Advanced modding support also keeps juices flowing for custom fan-made content.

In addition to the original Blood campaign and the Plasma Pak and Cryptic Passage add-ons, Blood: Refreshed Supply features two new mission scenarios: Marrow (available now) and Death Wish, which will release as a free title update for owners in Q1 2026.

Marrow — with two episodes featuring 24 new levels with a strong focus on horror atmosphere — continues Caleb’s fight against the Cabal and the Blood God, Tchernobog. Picking up as the dark God lies dead in the Hall of Epiphany, Caleb leaves and returns to his grave. The last remnants of the Cabal attempt to rebuild, to resurrect Cerberus and their fallen God. The cult hunts down Caleb’s new resting place in an attempt to destroy his undead body a final time. Marrow is designed as a single-player experience, while also offering support for co-op play. It also features a brand-new custom soundtrack by Jason Smith, Aleksander Wong-Kmiec, Jarkko Rotsten, Nicolai Patricio, and Sigurd Jøhnk-Jensen.

Death Wish — with four episodes, totaling 48 levels — begins years in the future after the events of Cryptic Passage, Post Mortem, and Marrow, where the specter of Tchernobog still looms after his defeat, having regained strength as Caleb fought other battles. When his growing power can no longer be veiled, Tchernobog’s forces face off against his foe as the moment of the Dreaming God’s ascension draws near. All maps have been upgraded from their previous mod versions, while the entirety of episode 4 and other levels are entirely new. All maps are co-op compatible and feature custom music from Noelle Amelie Aman (Speedy) and Sjellos (Silentsphere Studios).

Oh yes, there will be a whole lot of Blood!
