DALI (Danish Audiophile Loudspeaker Industries) announces the launch of the KUPID. KUPID is a compact, high-performance loudspeaker that delivers true Hi-Fi sound in a stylish, premium finish. Representing a new entry point to genuine hi-fi sound, KUPID is engineered to introduce a new generation of music lovers to the joy of high quality sound.
KUPID raises the bar with high performance and a bold new design. Priced at just £299, KUPID redefines value in the compact loudspeaker market, combining iconic DALI sound with fresh aesthetics, advanced technology and a fuss free set-up with all hi-fi amplifiers and systems.
| “KUPID is about simplicity and sound” says Krestian Pedersen, DALI Head of Product Management “It’s for anyone who wants a real Hi-Fi experience without any fuss. We’ve poured everything we know about speaker design into a form factor that’s easy to live with and easy to love. KUPID is designed to fit in, stand out and make the most of your music” |
Authentic DALI sound
At its core, KUPID is 100% DALI, proudly designed and engineered in-house in Denmark, following the same sonic philosophies behind DALI’s high-end flagship products like the KORE and EPIKORE. KUPID shares their DNA of precision, performance, and musicality — but delivers it in a smaller, more approachable package ideal for modern living spaces.
With a footprint small enough to fit almost anywhere (even just one inch from a wall) KUPID blends effortlessly into any room. Textured magnetic grilles further enhance its versatility and clean Scandinavian aesthetic.
KUPID launches with five finishes: Black Ash, Walnut, Caramel White, Golden Yellow, and Chilly Blue, each featuring colour-matched bass/midrange cones and grilles. Whether your style is bold, minimal, or somewhere in between, KUPID is designed to be seen as much as heard.
Keep it simple
Designed around a “keep it simple” philosophy, KUPID is a single-model offering that makes it effortless for first-time Hi-Fi buyers to get started. With no confusing product tiers or tech jargon, it’s a straightforward path to better sound.
Under the hood, KUPID is a serious loudspeaker built with advanced DALI technologies not seen before at this price point. The proprietary 4½-inch paper and wood fibre bass/midrange driver, ferrite magnet system and low-loss rubber surround ensure fast, tight bass and a dynamic midrange which are all hallmarks of DALI’s signature sound.
A custom-developed 26mm ultra-light soft dome tweeter delivers detailed, extended highs with smooth dispersion and minimal distortion. The tweeter baffle design is carefully tuned for seamless integration with the midrange driver, ensuring a natural and cohesive soundstage.
Together, these components work in perfect harmony, guided by custom crossovers designed for timing accuracy, soft roll-off and exceptional clarity. KUPID’s ‘dual flare’ bass reflex port is precisely time-aligned to optimise airflow and minimise unwanted resonances, resulting in low distortion and impressively deep bass for a speaker of this size. To fit all listening scenarios, like all DALI loudspeakers, KUPID also works well at low and high volumes.
Plug and play
KUPID is amplifier-optimised, presenting a consistent impedance of over 4 ohms to ensure smooth performance across a wide range of amplifiers, including budget-friendly Hi-Fi amplifiers and all-in-one amplifer and streamer systems. Whether part of a traditional stereo setup or a minimalist desktop set-up, KUPID is at home in all listening and living scenarios. Wall brackets are also included in the package alongside rubber feet, making set up easy in any home.
A new chapter
More than just a new speaker, KUPID marks a new chapter in DALI’s mission to make real Hi-Fi accessible to more people. By focusing on what matters — sound quality, build integrity, and aesthetic appeal — and stripping away the unnecessary, KUPID invites everyone to experience music the way it was meant to be heard.
| “KUPID is about falling in love with music again” adds Pedersen. “It’s pure DALI — just distilled, simplified and reimagined for today’s listener” |
