| Toymaker: Threads of Joy, the cozy game about crafting and selling plushies in the city of Salamanca from 1910, has just launched its crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. In addition, it celebrates the feat with a new trailer of the game. The studio Uprising Games, also from the city of Salamanca, is trying to get the last push of funding in their project making the community part of a unique story that blends myth and reality. The story of Toymaker takes us to a plushie shop that we as players have just inherited from our mom. It’s based on a local legend, “The Cave of Salamanca”, and it includes real locations and historical figures, as well as many original characters based on the culture and customs of that time time. It’s a very personal project committed to the city of Salamanca and craftsmanship, since the team members have relatives who worked in the textile industry of Salamanca. Regarding the campaign, in its opening it has available several exclusive limited rewards and Early Bird discounts. Those who decide to support it, will be able to choose from a wide variety of rewards, including physical rewards like handmade plushies, DIY plushies, pins or stickers. There will also be digital rewards, like letters and customized messages for your loved ones, exclusive decorations and the chance to design in-game content together with the development team, transforming backers’ pets into plushies from the game or themselves into customers of the shop. ![]() |
