EA SPORTS™ Announces First Ever EA SPORTS FC™ Team of The Year, Celebrating the Best Men’s and Women’s Footballers of 2023

 Electronic Arts, Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) unveiled the EA SPORTS FC™ Team of The Year (TOTY), including the first ever Women’s TOTY Final XI, honouring the very best players of 2023. Men’s and Women’s Attackers will be available in EA SPORTS FC 24 starting on January 19th, with Midfielders (Jan 21st), and Defenders & Goalkeepers (Jan 23rd) to follow.

“It’s an honour to be part of the Team of The Year Final XI alongside some incredible players,” said Manchester City forward Erling Haaland. “To win an award which is voted for by the fans means a lot, I really appreciate everyone who voted, thank you!”

“It’s incredible to be recognised by the fans and be amongst some of the best players in the world,” said two time Ballon d’Or Féminin winner Alexia Putellas. “Being part of the first women’s Team of The Year is a huge honour which I’m very proud of.”

The top voted players of the campaign were Alexia Putellas appearing in 84% of all Women’s teams submitted, and Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham appearing in 74% of all Men’s teams. Rounding out the top 3 were Kylian Mbappé (66%) and Virgil Van Dijk (66%) on the men’s side and Aitana Bonmatí (77%) and Caroline Graham Hansen (66%) for the women’s XI.

“A massive thank you to the fans for voting for me to be part of this year’s Team of The Year,” said Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham. “I know a lot of incredible players have been part of previous Team of The Year squads and it’s always an honour to be part of that list.”

The men’s TOTY squad is available now in EA SPORTS FC Online and will be available in EA SPORTS FC Mobile from Thursday, January 25 (Thursday, February 1 in China, Korea, and Japan).
