Review: Kidoodle MiniBox A1

Well 3D printing has really taken off over the past few years. Printers are insanely affordable and user friendly. But I noticed that if a child wants to get into printing, they’re kind of on a raft in a big ocean for printing. Thankfully Kidoodle is here to throw a line to help them out!

Today we are talking about the Kidoodle MiniBox A1, it’s a child safe, ready-to-go, compact printer. From the minds at Dale Technology then want to help grow kids minds with this STEM building imagination widening printer.

I received the printer from them about a week ago, unboxed it which has come well packed with a roll of filament. All I had to do was hook up the power and put in the filament and it was good to go! The setup on the built in touch screen was super easy.

If your child likes to use mobile device, they have an app for that! If they prefer PC and are a little more advanced, they can use the PC app which has an install on the included 8GB flash drive. Once you do the quick and easy set up you just select the file you want and boom off it goes. Now the printer does print up to 600mm/s personally I slowed it down a bit that felt a little unhinged at first. But it printed the Benchy boat without issues.

As for how to tweak it and adjust settings because Kidoodle is from China the instructions print out I got wasn’t in English, but Google Lens translated it for me fine. For the safety features it has a door that closes the print area wo nothing gets stuffed in the bed also has a lower nozzle temp but doesn’t have issues printing.

All in I have to say checkout the link for the Kickstarter below! My son gives it two thumbs way up, he is already talking about 3D printing so much stuff! Thank you Kidoodle for giving us this opportunity to check out the MiniBox A1!!!!
