Last week, multiplatform publisher of retro and modern titles Ziggurat Interactive announced the addition of new community items to owners of Slave Zero™ X on Steam! These include Steam-exclusive trading cards, profile backgrounds, and Slave Zero X emoticons so players can showcase their love for this brutal hack ‘n’ slasher across the platform.
Trading cards can be unlocked by mastering the blade – playing Slave Zero X, that is – and soaking up its wonderfully bloody combat and dystopian themes. Each trading card comes with a wallpaper-ready 1920×1080 version of its art, so you can take Shou’s quest for vengeance to your desktop.
Once you’ve completed a full set of Trading Cards, they can be crafted into a Badge, and by crafting all five normal badges and the foil badge, you’ll work your way up the ranks of the SVK-DF, from the lowly Trooper to the godlike SovKhan. Crafting Badges from Trading Cards also provides a chance to unlock Profile Backgrounds (featuring in-game and concept art) and Emoticons, including those created by the development and publishing teams for use in their internal Discord channels.
Additionally, from today until August 31, Steam users can purchase the game with a 20% discount. Both the base and deluxe bundle versions of the game are eligible for the discount. This is the deepest discount yet on Steam, marking an excellent opportunity for anyone who is interested in all its gory details but hasn’t yet taken the plunge.
