Ergobaby Metro+ Deluxe Compact Stroller And Ride Along Board

Hello All! A quick welcome back to myself and my work here. As some of you noticed, I have been MIA for a couple months. Do not fear, I have been diligently working on reviews and products that everyone has requested. During this time, my family and I welcomed our second son into this world and were able to use him as a guinea pig for all of the amazing things I will be writing about. Now that the introduction is out of the way let’s get to the best part of your day!

Having a baby doesn’t stop you from exploring the world and being outside enjoying nature. However, having a toddler and a newborn baby can make it a little more difficult to navigate the world as easily as having just one. Ergobaby is by far one of the best companies for baby products I have ever come across. I mean it is in the name itself so it was a given. Today we will be reviewing the Ergobaby Metro+ Deluxe Compact Stroller AND the Ride Along Board.

Design

Ergobaby not only put baby in their thought process, they also included parents and siblings. The stroller itself looks like most other strollers by design until you actually get into the deep dive of it. So let’s start at the top and work our way down.

The handlebar is adjustable to multiple heights whether you’re tall or short. This also helps with the ride along board and fitting the toddlers head in there when they go for the ride. The handle itself is wrapped in a leatherette that is very soft and smooth on the hands and also provides a nice grip. Appearance wise it gives off a very boujee feel which really adds to the appeal to me.

The sunshade cover is very thick material that truly blocks the sun as if it was night time. It extends extremely far down to provide shade in almost any angle of the day. There is a small window on the top that allows you to peek through and see baby or allows your curious toddler to peek in and make sure baby sibling is sleeping okay while they’re riding on the scooter behind. The sunshade is also able to be unzipped and moved forward further if need be.

The options for the cupholder are able to really be adjusted to whatever you need as well. The stroller’s frame is designed to fit the cupholder at almost any height. This is great if you want your cup in it, or to allow the toddler to place theirs into it for easy access while walking around.

The seat, which is the bread and butter of this stroller, is comfy enough to make me wish I could fit. The padding is extra plushy and soft to provide baby the most comfortable experience. Its ergonomically designed for baby’s safety and growth as the highest priority. The straps are strong and easy to adjust and secure. The seat back is so easy to move up and back. Its designed to actually go almost flat to give you a “newborn nest”. This is perfect for those days at the zoo where the toddler needs to run and baby needs a nap. The sunshade on the back half can roll up to provide a screened opening that gives baby plenty of airflow for those hot summer days. The foot rest is able to be moved into multiple positions to provide comfort for legs or safety to keep baby situated.

Lets get down to the undercarriage which provides far more space and storage than you would think. The bottom is perfect to hold your diaper bag, blanket, and anything else you need to get off your back for the day. We were able to fit our small Veer cooler, diaper bag and a couple other smaller items down there to sneak them into a waterpark that overcharged for drinks and food. This space is, as I said, much larger than you would think.

The large wheel base provides ease of getting over bumps, getting around tight corners and areas, and maintaining a smooth ride for you and baby. There is suspension built into the wheels to help with the more uneven terrain. The back wheels have a small attachment that allows the Ride Along Board to click to with the most simplicity. On the back of the seat is a small clip that the scooter can clip to that keeps it up while not in use.

Lastly, the fold up! They put compact in the name of this stroller but that is by far the biggest understatement of the year. The stroller folds up into a literal fraction of its own size. It has a soft handle that allows you to carry it around with one hand with ease. My wife who is much smaller stature than I am can carry it around without a struggle as well. This has made travel so simple and smooth being able to fit the stroller into the tightest of spaces. We recently took our small airplane on a trip and were able to fit the stroller in the cargo compartment that is not built for space.

Specifications

As mentioned above there are some specifications to mention. The stroller’s total weight is only 18.1 pounds or a tiny 8.3kg for you strange folks who don’t speak American (This is just a joke for our Canadian Counterpart Andrew). The tires are a polyurethane rubber that never needs filled up or worries of going flat. The age range is designed from Newborn to approximately 4 years old which is a huge range that you will be so much use out of. The stroller having the additional ride behind scooter gives your in between agers the most fun and easy ride they could ever have. Lastly, the maximum weight of the child is 50 pounds.

Overall

If you are in the market for an all in one stroller and accessory that will benefit you for years to come and make your transition from 1 to 2 much easier than this is it. The Ergobaby Metro+ Deluxe Compact Stroller is designed with parents and baby in mind. The stroller is designed to accommodate growth of the baby, day and night strolls, naps and wake times. It is packed with features that will grow with the baby. The Ride Along Board is the biggest blessing to add to the collection. Our son is obsessed with it and his Brother. He hops on any chance he can get to be pushed around and see everything. The ability to fold it down into basically nothing makes it so that it can fit in any vehicle.

If you are ready to make the best choice of your day, head over to Ergobaby HERE and HERE to get the stroller and Ride Along Board today!
