| Gibson Hummingbird Studio EC in Tri-Burst Satin Now Featuring a Cutaway for Even More Range and Expressiveness The Hummingbird™ Studio EC continues Gibson’s long history of producing world-famous square shoulder body designs and now offers players even more expressive possibilities with a cutaway mahogany body paired with a Sitka spruce top that delivers improved upper fret access. The utile neck features a rosewood fretboard with mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays, a fast-playing Round SlimTaper™ profile, and a 16” radius for easy string bending. The TUSQ® bridge pins, saddle, and nut, along with the Grover® Rotomatic® tuning machines, keep the tuning solid. The pickguard features one-color Hummingbird Studio graphics, and the satin nitrocellulose finish gives the Hummingbird Studio EC the look and feel of a long-treasured musical companion. An L.R. Baggs™ Element Bronze active under-saddle piezo pickup ensures easy studio-quality plug-and-play anywhere, while the included hardshell case helps keep this ‘bird safe wherever your travels take you. | Gibson Hummingbird Standard EC in Heritage Cherry The Famous Hummingbird, Now With a Cutaway for Even More Expressiveness The Gibson Hummingbird™ is known for its versatility. It has always been equally well suited for strumming first-position chords and taking the spotlight for picking lead lines. The Hummingbird has become more versatile and expressive than ever with the introduction of the Hummingbird Standard EC. Like the Hummingbird Standard, the Hummingbird Standard EC’s mahogany body and sweet, select Sitka spruce top are more than capable of holding down the rhythm in the hands of a rock and roll sideman or accompanying the most nuanced performance under the fingers of today’s alternative singer-songwriter, but with the addition of the cutaway on the Hummingbird Standard EC, the access to the upper frets is significantly increased, making this the Hummingbird of choice for lead players and others who require increased note range and enhanced expressiveness.
