Review: Veer Basecamp
Winter blues are a real thing when you live in the Midwest or the colder states. But if you are lucky enough to live in the warmer area or travel often you will most likely spend some much needed time on the beach or in the woods on a trip. You obviously need a comfy space the kids to relax and be protected from the elements. Veer has the solution for you of course! The Basecamp is the mini version of the Family Basecamp and gives the kids the best space to enjoy and relax in between exploring the world.
Design
Veer has cornered the market on keeping things simple yet effective. The Basecamp is another intuitive design that has parents, families and speed in mind. Veer understands the necessity for things to work every time, be easy to understand be portable. The Basecamp is built with an extremely durable polyester skin. This is excellent for keeping out the breeze, the bugs and anything else. The top section of the Basecamp is all mesh which gives you the option to let the light in and the air flow to be full. The sides and bottom are extremely water resistant to offer protection from the elements and outside.
The set up is as easy as pull, push, enjoy. All you have to do is pull the Basecamp from his sheath, storage bag, push the top portion down to extend the flexible poles that give the system support and enjoy the space and peace from the world around you. It is incredibly easy and the exact opposite process to close it and pack it up.
For the extra sunny days or if there is a drizzle you can also throw an SPF 50 Sun/Rain cover on top. This has stretchy cords that allow you to connect it to the Basecamp to provide the extra protection you may need. This is also easily stored in the bag with the Basecamp. This is super helpful on the beach with the sun blasting down. It can reduce the temp substantially inside especially paired with the Veer Flex Fan.
The storage bag is also designed for your travels in mind. The bag is a thick polyester material that provides the same protection from the world. There is a shoulder strap that allows you to carry the Basecamp easily from place to place. If you are smart enough to have gotten a Cruiser City or Cruiser then you can actually clip the basecamp to the side of the Wagon. The two built in clips on the Basecamp storage bag connect to the Cruiser and provide you an even easier way to transport.
The front portion is also providing added protection. The front is able to be fully zipped up to keep bugs out or keep crawling babies in. This is also very easy to zip and has provided an excellent seal from the bugs. This, as I said, is also amazing if you want to keep the little one contained for a nap while you sit outside and wait.
Overall
The Veer Basecamp is phenomenal for any trip whether it be to the beach, the woods, even the backyard. The Basecamp is so easy to transport, set up and use. It comes with a very durable and nice carrying case that can go over the shoulder or just clip into the Cruiser or Cruiser City. There are multiple accessories available to make the Basecamp even more comfortable for you and your loved ones. If you are on the hunt for something to make outdoors even better then the Basecamp is for you. Head over to Veer HERE and pick one up plus check out everything else they have to offer.
