For decades, SUVs have chased bigger screens, softer lines, and quieter personalities, sacrificing character in the process. But the latest custom Chevrolet K5 Blazer from ECD Autodesign proves there’s still room for a vehicle with soul. This handcrafted build, the first of their Heritage K5 Blazer line, takes the classic American off-roader into a new era of luxury while preserving the raw personality that made the K5 a legend.

Finished in Ford Race Red with a Ford YZ White lower body and Toyota Blue accent stripe, the K5 commands attention before the Chevrolet LS1 V8 even comes to life. Paired with a 4L60E automatic transmission, the drivetrain delivers the kind of analog driving experience modern SUVs have abandoned, loud V8 character, mechanical feedback, and a sense of connection that feels increasingly rare. Riding on 33-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires with a 2.5-inch lift, the truck maintains the rugged capability that made the K5 iconic while elevating the fit, finish, and road presence to a completely different level.
Inside, the build balances craftsmanship with restraint. Skai Pavento Buffalo Vinyl upholstery with white single-diamond stitching gives the cabin a tailored feel without losing its classic utility roots. Digital gauges, a woodgrain steering wheel, custom-upholstered door cards, and an Android CarPlay head unit introduce modern convenience while keeping the interior honest and mechanical in nature.
And that honesty matters. There are no automatic headlights. Instead, experience behind the wheel carries a smooth drive with a bite of grit, from the column shifter to the steering wheel in your hands. It delivers the kind of experience modern luxury SUVs have spent years engineering away.
The exposed chrome, black Raptor-lined finishes, factory-inspired details, and six-point roll cage give the truck a presence that feels closer to a boutique supercar than a mass-produced SUV. At $179,995, this Signature K5 Blazer is not competing with today’s SUVs, it exists to remind drivers what they’ve been missing.
