New WORX Power Tool Accessories Help Spell DIY Project Success

harlotte, NC – Having the right power tool accessories on hand is crucial to the success of many home improvement and repair projects.  That’s why WORX® has added three new accessories to its lineup, including the 67-Piece Drill Bit Accessory Kit, Flexible Shaft for Cordless Screw Drivers and Large Zippered Tool Tote with Interior and Exterior Pockets.

A trip to the hardware store or home improvement center in search of a particular drill or driver bit doesn’t have to be part of each DIY project.  The WORX 67-Piece Drill Bit Accessory Kit has it covered, whether the task calls for a paddle bit to bore a large hole for a bird house, drilling tile, power screw-driving, or fastening applications with either SAE or metric sockets.

Bits in the 67-piece kit are constructed of durable HSS (high speed steel) for metal, wood, plastic and aluminum.  All bits have a nominal round shank up to 3/8 in. and are ideal for use in any cordless drill with a WORX WA1122 Ai Bit Set closed.jpg3/8 in. chuck.

The 67-piece kit is well-organized in a durable, roll-up case for convenient storage and transport.  It includes (12) round shank HSS drill bits; (4) paddle bits; (4) tile bits; (17) one-inch screwdriver insert bits (Phillips, square, slotted and Allen); (7) two-inch power screw-driving bits; (2) six-inch extended length power bits; (3) nut drivers; (8) 1/4 in. drive SAE sockets; (8) 1/4-in. drive metric sockets; (1) 1/4 in. magnetic bit holder and (1) 1/4 in. drive adapter.

The WORX 67-Piece Drill Bit Accessory Kit (WA1122, $24.99) is available at www.worx.com and Amazon.  This kit is not intended for use in tools, such as the WORX Switchdriver, which have a 1/4-in. hex chuck.  For these tools, WORX offers a 16-piece Drill and Drive Bit Set (WA1112, $19.99), also available at www.worx.com and Amazon.

The 1/4-in., hex end of the Flexible Shaft is secured in the chuck of the cordless screwdriver.  Any 1/4-in bit then can be inserted into the shaft’s magnetic bit holder at the other end.  The shaft bends 180º to reach fasteners in hard-to-reach locations, while the screwdriver delivers the power to tighten or loosen fasteners.

The Flexible Shaft is designed for cordless drivers. It’s particularly handy for installing kitchen cabinet hardware, recessed curtain rods, mini-blinds, drawer slides, electrical boxes and outlets, bathroom accessories and more.
