Microsoft, KPMG and ABN-AMRO Among Speakers at GPA Events during ISE
AMSTERDAM, Feb. 1, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — The Global Presence Alliance (GPA), the “Star Alliance” of the Integrated Audio-Visual Experience Industry, is bringing a series of impactful speakers to ISE this year, with customer and public events hosted around one of Europe’s largest annual tech shows.
Held each year in Amsterdam, ISE attracts more than 80,000 visitors, making it nearly twice the size of InfoComm, a similar venue in the U.S. Bringing the latest in new technology for interactive displays, virtual reality, robotics, collaboration and all the peripherals, ISE draws attendees from Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pac. The GPA arranges for socializing, networking and learning leading into ISE by hosting its own UX Summit for AV and UC decision makers on February 4-5.
Held at the Movenpick Hotel, Amsterdam, the UX Summit guest speakers include Julian Phillips, Executive Vice President of Whitlock and 2018 President of the Audio Visual and Integrated Experiences Association (AVIXA), and Han Gerrits, professor, author and CEO of KPMG’s Innovation Factory group. Both will present on the modern workplace and new trends in strategy, technology and best practices for collaboration and business agility.
As ISE kicks off on the 5th, the GPA will be present throughout the show in booth 1-E85 and will also be hosting a Global Lounge in the Emerald Auditorium with speakers and refreshments on Wednesday, February 6. On the docket to speak in the GPA Global Lounge are:
- Paul Muckleston, Microsoft, Worldwide GM for Surface Commercial
- Jody Thomas, TargetPath, Senior Partner
- Ira M. Weinstein, Recon Research, Founder/Partner
- Byron Tarry, GPA, Executive Director
- Iris Van Den Akker, ABN-AMRO, Commercial Manager – “Product as a Service” Portfolio
Beyond presentations from thought leaders, the GPA will use its booth and lounge areas to promote its new Velocity Ecosystem for global enterprises. Velocity offers an integrated and standardized portfolio of collaboration solutions, which include program planning, hardware/software, deployment and support, along with a strategic management and analytics dashboard. As the name implies, Velocity solutions deliver a quick path for standardization, simplification and scale worldwide. The system was developed in partnership with key GPA technology partners, including Crestron, Cisco, Logitech, Legrand AV, Domotz and LG.
“After a decade of working together, the GPA has achieved strong alignment across our members, partners and customers,” explains Byron Tarry, Executive Director. “Our UX Summit brings together a unique mix of ideas and talent from all around the globe, which should help drive more excitement and adoption for new workplace solutions at ISE. We look forward to using this time next week to achieve better collaborative workflows and improved business outcomes.”
