Charmingly Restored, LS3-Powered Vintage Series 2A from E.C.D. Automotive Design Marks the Launch of a New Model to Their Line-up

KISSIMMEE, FL – July 12, 2019 – E.C.D. Automotive Design, known for their prestigious, high-end luxury vehicles, launched their first fully restored Series 2A. The completion marks the launch of the vintage icon to E.C.D’s line-up of luxury bespoke British classics.

E.C.D. is one of the top automotive companies in the world for custom bespoke luxury Defenders. The launch of Project Harmony was introduced to the company’s line-up as a result of the evolution and innovation of the company since it was founded in 2013. While many of E.C.D’s custom bespoke vehicles are typically sourced by the company, however, the original Series 2A was provided by the client for a full restoration. Having been in the family for several generations, the client wanted to breathe new life into the vehicle.

For this project, the original underwhelming drivetrain was swapped for an incredibly aggressive LS3 V8 engine that produces 430-horsepower and 400 ft/lbs torque paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, producing almost four times the horsepower of the original engine.

The exterior is finished in a stunning Aintree Green in a full gloss finish. On the interior, Project Harmony is upholstered in premium Torino Terrier Beige leather, which compliments the green quite beautifully. Modern features and options on this Series 2A? There are none. Unlike the Defenders built by E.C.D, which boast plenty of modern comfort features, Project Harmony retains all that is vintage, including its large classic gauges on its original dash.

The Series 2A was completed in 2,200 hours by a team of master-certified ASE technicians alongside the company’s head of engineering within their research and development division.

“E.C.D. chose to add the Series 2A to its line-up because it gives us a chance to restore a true classic vehicle that, even with features chosen by the client, still keeps the character and charm of the 1960’s original,” says Elliot Humble, co-founder of E.C.D. Automotive Design.

Project Harmony is charmingly nostalgic and entirely stunning. Simple yet rugged, the Series 2A will make a statement to buyers and enthusiasts who want a British vintage classic that’s as versatile as it is powerful and built to be a true utility vehicle.
