Charlotte, NC – The new WORX^® Nitro 20V Drill-Driver and 20V Impact Driver Combo features efficient brushless motors that deliver 25 percent more power and run 50 percent longer than conventional brushed motors. These cordless drivers are toolbox mainstays, capable of taking on a wide range of projects and repairs around the house, workshop and yard. 

Both Nitro drivers have maintenance-free, brushless motors that run cooler with less friction and heat buildup than conventional motors. This results in more efficient and dependable operation, as well as longer service life.

The WORX Nitro 20V Drill-Driver is equipped with a heavy-duty, 1/2 in., ratcheting, metal chuck for superior bit retention. It also utilizes all-metal gears to ensure dependable performance throughout the toughest jobs.  

The drill-driver’s two-speed gearing and 18+1 clutch positions enable users to easily find the best speed and torque for the job at hand.  The driver’s speed ranges are 0-450 and 0-2000 no-load rpm, and maximum torque is 531 in.-lbs. It’s capable of drilling 1-5/8 in. in wood and 1/2 in. in steel.              

Weighing just 3.38 lbs., the Nitro 20V drill-driver is compact and well balanced.  It has a variable-speed trigger as well as a comfortable, rubber overmold grip. The built-in LED light illuminates the work area when the trigger is pressed.

Two 20V, 2.0Ah MAX Lithium batteries are included in the combo kit. Each battery has a built-in charge level indicator to monitor charge level. The included battery charger brings both batteries to a full charge in 1 hour. The 20V batteries are compatible with more than 35 other WORX DIY and lawn and garden tools and lifestyle products for cost savings and convenience.

Any number of home improvement projects is fair game for the versatile 20V drill driver.  These include drilling pilot holes for screws, installing drywall anchors, attaching cabinet hardware or bathroom fixtures, replacing door sets and hinges, and other assembly work. It also tackles larger jobs, such as building storage racks and replacing stairs or railings.   

The WORX Nitro 20V Impact Driver is the tool of choice for more demanding DIY jobs, such as building decks, swing sets, fences, benches and picnic tables. The impact driver also is handy for nut setting and removing stubborn or rusted fasteners.   

The Nitro 20V impact driver has a 1/4-in., hex chuck for fast bit changes.  The metal chuck grips hex-shank bits evenly on all six sides to prevent slippage. 

Three speed ranges of 0-900; 0-2400 and 0-3000 no load rpm enable the impact driver to handle a wide range of drilling and fastening applications. Corresponding impact rates are 0-1200; 0-3300 and 0-4000 impacts-per-minute (ipm). A built-in electronic digital keypad provides speed/impact selections.

The impact driver quickly sinks fasteners with rotational force (impacts), minimizing stripped screw heads.  Because concussions are channeled to the fastener, there is no residual effect on the user’s wrist or forearm. And with 2300 in.-lbs. of torque, the driver can manage the most demanding jobs.

The Nitro 20V impact driver weighs 3.31 lbs. (with battery), and is powered by the same 20V, 2.0Ah MAX lithium-ion battery that powers the Nitro 20V Drill-Driver. The built-in LED light illuminates the work area when the trigger is pressed and incorporates a low-battery charge level when flashing. The LED light also serves as an overload protection alert. The impact driver has a variable-speed trigger and a comfortable rubber overmold grip.

In addition to the WORX Nitro 20V Drill-Driver and WORX Nitro 20V Impact Driver, the combo kit includes two 20V, 2.0Ah MAX Lithium batteries; a 1-hr. battery charger; two belt clips; one 2 in. screwdriver bit; one double-ended screwdriver bit (slotted and Phillips) and a tool bag.  Both 20V drive tools carry a three-year limited warranty.
