The newest phone from LG is their G6. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor and a 3300 mAh battery.

The screen is 5.7 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2880. The G6  has a pixel density of 561. This gives you a clear screen that is easy to watch movies on and read your books. The screen  is made from Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and is scratch resistant. The screen also features HDR video support. The G6 Features Dolby Vision that vies you a greater viewing experience than other phones with enhancements to both color and contrast.

The body of the G6 is made from Aluminum and Glass. This gives the phone a well build feeling with good weight. Doesn’t feel like a cheap phone. The back of the phone has the dual camera lens and a fingerprint scanner.

Charging is fast charge via a USB-C Connection or standard charging through wireless. The battery is a 3300 mAh battery that gives you a rated usage time os 31.98 hours per Verizon Wireless site.  Real world use saw around 8 hours of video (stored on SD Card) and about 6 hours of game play.

To keep the G6 running smooth, LG uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 Processor. This is a Quad Core processor backed with 4 GB of RAM. This will keep you up and running for even graphic intensive games. This also allows you to multitask with speed.

Internal storage is 32GB with the option to add up too 2TB of storage via a microSD or microSDXC card.  You can theoretically have more storage on your smartphone than you do in your Desktop or laptop computer.

The camera of the LG G6 is 13MP with Dual LED flash. The aperture size is F1.8 with a 29mm focal length. The Dual camera setup fives you a 125 degree viewing angle with optical image stabilization. This allows you to take blur free pictures that even your local pro photographer would be proud of.  The camera also allows you video recording of 4K at 30 fps or 1080p at 60 fps. Once again, you can share the video of your childs dance recital or football game on your TV in HDTV quality. For those of you office types that do a lot of video conferencing, you have a 5MP camera with wide-angle lens.

Some of the features that the LG G6 comes with are the LG Health 2.0 app. This app allows you to track your daily fitness. Only thing with the G6 is there isn’t a heart rate sensor so you can’t track your heart rate automatically in the app. Comfort view allows you to decrease the amount of blue like on the screen. Science is saying that blue light is harmful  to your health.  This allows you to use your phone in a safer manner. There is a Smart Doctor feature that allows you to diagnose you phone to give you improved performance. If you double tap the screen, you can put your phone to sleep or wake it. This keeps you from having to pick up the phone to hit the home button on the rear of the phone.

The G6 is a great smartphone if you are looking to get into Android as it is easy to use and runs great. If you are looking to upgrade your G5, you can’t go wrong with the G6.

You can pick up the LG G6 at your local Verizon Wireless store or at Verizon Wireless.com for $20 per month or a flat rate of $672.00. The G6 comes in Black and Platnium.
