NASA Awards Contract for Construction, Maintenance, Environmental, Testing Services
NASA has selected Firelake-Arrowhead NASA Services of Lenexa, Kansas, to perform facility management, surveying, energy management, life safety code compliance and environmental management services for the agency’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland.
The Construction, Maintenance, Environmental and Testing Services (COMETS) contract is a cost plus fixed fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a total value of approximately $52.4 million. Work will start April 1 with an 18-month base period, followed by one 24-month option, and one 18-month option.
Work under the COMETS contract includes managing construction projects, maintenance tasks and environmental tasks, from the initial concept through completion. This includes requirements development, design, construction, commissioning, activation and turnover in support of the Facilities Division and the Environmental Management Office at Glenn.
Firelake-Arrowhead NASA Services will provide these services at Glenn’s Lewis Field and Plum Brook Station, NASA Headquarters and other agency centers, when needed.
